I love words and the English language. Thing is I'm not well enough educated to have the vocabulary I long for. Also I always seem to mangle the language I so love.  |

I don't think you need to be particularly academic to have a varied vocabulary, indeed many people perceived to be academic failures have proved to have tremendous elecoution/vocabularly/command of the English language.
