If you can't save every premature baby then why bother with all the time, money and effort of medical technology? Bizarre comparison. I disagree Jase, I think the citation system used in Rugby Union and adjudicated over by a board at the RGU an ideal solution to diving, a plague of the current game. Using the premise of it dividing non league and league is irrelevant. The more money/higher profile the team the more investment will be made, we already 'miss out' in the form of subsidised parachute payments, full time referees, accredited world class facilities, etc etc.

Same logic, different situation To the extreme! I'm with Loy on this one - and using the technology exclusively to determine wheter a goal can stand (all this about fouls, other incidents is smokescreen) We can add another link to egg chasing; the game works in phases. In mdern football, a ref will allow advantage and often blow for an offence a couple of seconds later if the advantage does not materialise. SO. If play continues, the ball ends up in the net then it can only be an incident immediately prior to that happening which could be used to challenge the outcome. Add a ruling from the NFL as well if you like? Allow teams a maximum of two challenges per half - prevent constant use or abuse of the system. More often than not, goals will be scored and allowed to stand with no argument.

Same logic, different situation Come off it Robot, football is hardly the same as a life-or-death situation, is it? It's FAR more important than that! ;D

Can we just have CAMRA technology at football grounds and drink proper beer instead of the fizzy shite most of them serve and then we wouldn't give a f**k if the ball had crossed the line or not anyway.

Genius.

BEST IDEA EVER.
Daza ought to be knighted for services to football.
