See you Worcesterites, I told you to watch out for Romulus!
Must find out when the replay is, they play at Sutton Coldfield's ground which is one of the easier grounds for me to get to.

Burscough 1-2 Blyth SpartansWe trailed after the first half by one goal, about halfway through the second half Burscough should have sealed a victory when their number 10 was one on one with our keeper but thankfully he fluffed his shot wide. The match changed after that when Anth Lowther floated in a free kick and Peter Snowdon headed in the equaliser to make us the first away team to have scored past Burscough at Victoria Park this season and very very relieved. In injury time Robbie recovered from a bad challenge in the box to send in a cross which Michael Hedley headed in for the winner. ;D

I know I had a beer or two today, but you've got that one wrong! 3-0 was the score. Our lads barely broke a sweat, unlike those of us on the train who had to march up the Portsmouth Road into the arse end of nowhere! One of those odd days out that the early rounds of the Cup are about. Vospers even put some temporary seating in, plus for a bonus their manager slagged off Eastleigh in his programme notes..always a winner! Just seen the other results. Sorry Sutton.

The FA website lied to me then, 3-0 it is then.......to you right? You get to use that old chestnut about now concentrating on the league Capital idea! AFC Telford United 5-1 Leek TownA comfortable win for Telford in which we didn't really have to get out of first gear, new signing Scott Willis from Leigh RMI went straight into the team for our clash with bottom of the table Leek. We played this game with a heavily weakened squad due to 2 key players suspended and several more injured. The game started well, we weren't playing great but they were no better, In the 8th minute Gary Hay took a shot but it was punched away by an outfield player, the ref waves for play on (think it was advantage) and Steve Foster was in just the right place to tap the ball in giving us the lead. Their player was then booked for his actions, personally I'm very surprised the card was only yellow, a clear handball which stopped a ball heading straight for goal = straight red most of the time. Leek kicked off and within seconds they had conceeded a free kick 35 yards out. New signing Scott Willis stepped up, took a shot and scored past the helpless Leek keeper from 35 yards. On 25 minutes Steve Foster doubled his tally making it 3-0 to the Bucks. Leek came back right on half time with a well placed direct free-kick just outside the box (we seem to have a problem with them). half time 3-1 to Telford and we're looking quite comfortable for a win. Straight after half time the visitors began to attack a bit with a couple of chances, though enough to unsettle some of the crowd none went in. The game went quiet for most of the second half with us dominating but doing little, we hit the post on one occasion, the bar on another and then once again hit the inside of the post, only for it to bounce out at an absurd angle. Substitute striker Dean Perrow was brought down in an X-rated challenge, we all once again expected a Leek player to walk but much to our surprise Perrow is booked for his trouble and a free kick given to Leek. The ref could not control the game and a fair way through the second half the game seemed to turn pretty ugly in the centre circle, much to the shock of the majority of the 1924 strong crowd Telfordians Steve Foster & Dave Woodvine both receive bookings while all Leek players walk out of it completely unpunished. Steve Foster, completely undeterred from the booking contiues to go forward and completes his hat-trick on 84 minutes. Telford continue to dominate and on about 94 minutes (of a two minute injury time!) substitute wing-back Richard Beale who was coming back from an injury grabs his second of the season with a bullet header after a cross from Tamworth loanee Lee Moore Comfortable game from the Bucks in which we successfully finished off what was essentially a very poor Leek side, we play them again on Tuesday and then yet again on Halloween (Unibond Cup). Same again for each of those hopefully. Final Score AFCTU 5-1 LTFC My Motm: 9. Steve Foster, did brilliant in scoring his first hat-trick for the club, now the highest goal-scorer in the Unibond, with 12 goals it looks very likely he'll reach the 25 milestone (which means the £3000 transfer fee to Radcliffe becomes £5000). I can see him being our first 30+ a season goalscorer since forming.
