Due to unforseen crapness - I am unable to now trek up to Blyth.
So instead I will be using this Saturday to hopefully travel down to darkest Surrey to pick up a parcel from the Caterham area.
So - Tinpotters - find me a good game I can catch in the Caterham area for this Saturday afternoon.
I can go a bit further afield - but it must be accessible by train.
I commend this statement to the House

Chipstead v Walton Casuals (Ryman One South) is handy for Caterham. But not much at stake in that one. If you can get over to the west of Croydon, there's always Sutton v Welling (BS South). Not a great deal at stake here either, but the company's OK. Or Carsh*lton v Hastings (relegation tussle in Ryman Prem ;D). Or even Tooting & Mitcham v Cray Wanderers (3rd v 2nd in Ryman One South).

Checked the rail times briefly - I should be able to take in the Sutton game and hopefully meet a few Tinpot Terracers along the way.
That's if I'll be made welcome by them ofc - pints will have to be exchanged if so

I can thoroughly recommend the trip to GGL. You'll be well looked after/lubricated, and may find it hard to leave to catch your train!

Thanks for the encomium, Malx! Sadly I won't be at GGL for Saturday's match, so won't have the pleasure of meeting Mr Croc. But I've no doubt that both Ambersal and Medibot will be in attendance. Maybe BH too!

I shall certainly be in attendence, and look forward to meeting you m8. I alas do not partake in pre match ale quaffing due to proggy selling duties, but am normally available for a post match half!!

grand - i intend on getting the last train home from Paddington - which is about 9:15pm So an after match session is very much possible. The main reason I'm down that neck of the woods is to pick up a new set of refereeing kit for use in a Worcestershire Under 15's County Cup Final on the Sunday. I just want to look half decent for the game

Sounds ace. Croc my old man, want me to PM you my mobile so you can find us? Although to be honest looking for the 6'4" hairy thing and the short girly thing sitting in choccy and amber drinking ale shouldn't be too hard

I might be able to do that - will know exactly what the cash situ is when i check the Banklink tomorrow morning.
You do realise that I'll be leaving Worcester at about 7:30am to get into Surrey in time to pick up this new kit?
