That wouldn't be authority trotting alongside, that would be twattishness. I don't even drive and they annoy me.

One recently acquired a love-note from afore mentioned t*ats, just for parking outside one's abode. No Peter Crouch involved though...

One has to have rules, gentlemen.
Because these poor guys are on a commission of sorts, they have to do their job properly or they don't eat. Does this really make them tw*ts?

Not all of them of course. It's like any position of power, some people thrive on it and thence act like tw*ts, it's just more visible with our yellow hatted friends.

That's only because a lot of people stereotype them and assume they are all the same.

Yes.
If they are on commission, and the case for the defence is indeterminate around here - i.e "No we 'aint" Then they are tw*ts for being so inflexible. Doubly so as their motives may be financial.
If they are not on commission, and given the case for the defence in and around Havant, they would appear not to be, then they are tw*ts for being so inflexible. More so because there is no incentive to be so.

What is it about traffic wardens and speed cameras that upsets people so much? If you don't park illegally or if you don't break the speed limit, you're safe. Um ... well you should be. Speed cameras are factual whereas traffic wardens' attitudes may depend more on how good a night they had last night.
According to the Beeb traffic wardens' actions are mainly based on the attitude of their councils. A no tolerance policy attitude from the council leads to lots of parking fines whereas a council that doesn't even provide traffic wardens (and to be honest I can't remember when I last saw one) leads to more and more drivers parking illegally. Traffic wardens aren't tw*ts - they are just doing what they're employed to do. Just like me. Just like you

Exactly my point; thank you bonehead. They've got to eat! No they haven't. Most exist on the blood of their victims anyway... Should point out that NONE of my best friends are Traffies!

So some people are quite happy to break driving laws and get upset when they get fined/lose points on their licence. What goes around comes around
On the other hand it would probably be better if all councils used the same rules. Some allow you to get away with it (not that parking on a double yellow is right) if you catch the warden before he's finished writing out a ticket while others do not. Yet another postcode lottery

Absolutely. And the reason why I have abandoned the Lotto thingy as a potential source of income
