Des Lyttle better than Zidane

During a uncalled for moment of madness, Worcester City defender (ex-forest) Des Lyttle head butted a Cheltenham player in a pre-season friendly and gets sent off.

Now I can't condone this kind of behaviour, but I can't help thinking his head butt was better aimed than Zidanes'.
Who on earth headbutts someone in the chest? He needs to come around here at chucking out time on a Friday night and take some notes.

Actually, headbutting someone in the chest may have some distinct advantages over headbutting someone else's head:

1. You probably won't hurt your own head, unless they are wearing one of those gold nuggets or Black Sabbath type crucifixes around their neck.

2. You might crack one or more of your opponent's ribs which would be excruciatingly painful for them.

3. You will almost certainly knock all the air out of them, thereby rendering it impossible for them to retaliate for long enough for you to make your getaway.

4. You won't have to disentangle smashed nose flesh/broken teeth from your own hair (or in my case, scalp).

So, on the whole I think the headbutt into the chest has a lot going for it

As for fat men, their cushioning tends to gather around their non-existent waistline, giving a beach ball like effect. Manboobs tend to point outwards toward and slightly in front of the armpits leaving enough uncushioned target area between them to render severe and excruciating pain.

I can think of a number of reasons to not head-butt a woman:

1) When they wear high heels they're taller than me.

2) When they don't wear high heels lots of them are still taller than me (Ms Iguana is obviously excluded from this).

3) If they're of the right height they can cause me a lot of pain in a very painful area.

4) It's just damn wrong!!!!

When I were a lad I went to a QPR-Leicester game (early 70s). After the game my friends and I were making our way to the exit when a QPR fan deliberately shoulder charged me. Being the nice, peaceful person I am I called out to him, "If your full backs were as good at that as you, they might stand a chance against wingers". At which point he turned round and dropped the nut on me. Unfortunately for him he made contact with my forehead rather than my nose - and immediately collapsed on the ground. There's more than one reason I use the 'bonehead' nick! (Sorry, Nick). Whilst I was trying hard not to laugh out loud, I spotted a copper making his "What's all this, then?" way towards me and I knew without looking my friends were backing off and making whistling 'This has got nothing to do with me' noises. It turned out that the copper considered the QPR fan was a bit of a trouble-maker. He shook my hand and said his head-butt was one of the funniest things he had ever seen :-)
