Do they do a veggie one? I normally have one game at Gangrene just to remind myself of our superiority so it would be nice to have some quality burgerage at the same time.

Sorry, Daza. Andy ate it last week! You'll have to come to Sutton v Eastbourne this season then won't you! Now that is a very good idea - when is it?

15 March. Yes, we do do a veggie burger, as well as several nice veggie baguettes

At The Moors they cook the veggie burgers alongside the offal burgers, kinda defeating the object

That's ridiculous. It's like people who work in tea bars and wear nice hygienic gloves...with which they handle raw food, cooked food, money, rubbish and cleaning cloths without changing them! Yuk!

I had the scaled-down version of the Monster Burger the other day (single rather than double) and it was lurvely They forgot my DAMN cheese again though so on Saturday I made them give me fish fingers and chips with loads of cheese on top, tee hee!

It could have been worse - they might have put choc and banana pancakes on top :-)

I did actually think of that, but couldn't bring myself to write it!

I suspect in gourmet terms, there is a burger to top the GGL Whopper... even if not in sheer scale! Same County, though. In Godalming there's a slightly obsessive chap in their Tea Bar (A.K.A. The Oven Door) who does a very convincing impression of being a proper Chef. Anyway, the bun is utterly fresh and bouncy and (most importantly!) very sauce-absorbent! The patties are off the scale.... Mine were fresh, beefy and peppery - with just a hint of onion/garlicy allium - and the flavour sat happily in the mouth for half an hour. They were cooked within a whisker of pinkness, and were succulent and juicy, yet totally rubber-free. There was no instant when eating that patty that I thought I was eating 'left-over' meat - there was no hint of grissle, and even the fatty juices were left there by design! The Cheese? 2 characteristically carelessly chopped wedges of mature cheddar... Then he stuffed a great fresh bowl of salad in, just for good measure. Sadly I was enjoying myself too much to get a photo, but even Nokia can't capture the full glory of that particular mouthwaterfestival!

On a (slightly) related theme, does anyone else think that those M&S adverts have now tipped into self-parody?
This is not just a burgerrrrrr... ;D
It does look very nice though and apparently their food sales have shot up since they've been running those ads.
