"Although the move had been mentioned at the end of last years tournament in Brighton"
Is that the laziest piece of journalism ever??? The tournament didn't even TOUCH Brighton. And if they reckon that their readers will have heard of Brighton instead of Worthing, Eastbourne or Bognor, then why not just say the south coast, or Sussex, and at least be factually correct. Idiots.

The answer is to write a piece next year extolling the virtues of holding the competition in Dundee

Idiots. Haha I like these posts. Inverness does have a ground, yes - Clachnacuddin's, but it's a right dive - it'll probably get the Wales games. The England games are likely to be held in Forres. Yep. Up for that Might have to overcome my aversion to sitting in something that weighs tons, and then trusting it to get off the ground - and STAY off of the ground until it chooses to sit down again, just to get there! Nasty things! maybe I'll go by train... Do like Inverness though. Weekend round & about does appeal.

Highland 2007? Almost as funny as Liverpool being European city of culture 2008 :-)

We always take in Inverness when we go up to Fort William hence being 10 times. I'd like to move to the highlands one day, preferrably Glencoe or Fort William itself.

If anyone wants some good pub tips then ask away! hmm, funnily enough i think we do want pub tips... What are you after? Good beer? Food? Pool Table? Drunken tramps dribbling down their jumpers? I can do all of them! My own favourites in Inverness: Blackfriars - Good basic pub food, five real ales, no tramps. Bar 27 - Opposite the Castle on Castle Street, superb grub (I had chicken stuffed with haggis and black pudding last time I was there), a couple of handpulls and an extensive range of excellent bottled beers. Very few dribbling tramps. Hootenanny's - Live bands on at weekends and sometimes in the week, plus a comedy club and cult film club. Very good Thai food menu, the beer was a bit naff last time I was there but my Father-in-law says that they have sorted this out. Tramps only on sundays. The Clachnaharry Inn - Best beer in Inverness. It's about a mile outside the city centre but can be reached by a stroll along the Caledonian Canal if you are too tight to get a taxi. Good food which is best eaten in the conservatory overlooking the sea and the canal lock. Dribbling tramps are only allowed in the front bar.
