Looking to your left on the Hinckley - Leicester line you have a brilliant view of the ground of Friar Lane & Epworth or The Midland Alliance.
Are you going to be around on Saturday?
MiB - will you be there?

Probably won't be there; double booked!. A Geordie mate of longstanding is back from Khazakhstan, where he works, and is supposed to be coming over for a few beers.
I've just e-mailed to confirm, in the middle of this post. If he's not coming over, and bearing in mind I owe him a fiver, and if I can arrange somewhere to stay I'll be there, but, yet again, don't hold your breath. Apparently this is my year of not being there.

Thanks for the reminder, I used to go past that ground quite often when they were Friar Lane Old Boys, I'll add it to the blog a some point. Yep. If any of the Wusster boys are interested there is a beer festival on at The Assembley Rooms in Tamuff (opposite the bus station so just follow the signs), I'll be there before the game and very possibly afterwards as well. I believe the game is segregated at Worcester's request (not sure why) so you won't be able to use our clubhouse before the game.

Thoroughly enjoyed the beer and the result! Also, the home fans were most hospitable! I'm told that three of them travelled from a pub to the ground on our Supporters Coach!
Anyway, wrong sport but looking to your right on the Coventry to Nuneaton line you firstly pass above and have a most spectacular view of the Butts Park Arena - Coventry RFC while on the left further on you pass next door to the Ricoh!

Lovely view of the back of our main stand from the Sutton - Wimbledon Thameslink line.
Also Caersws in Wales has the Cambrian Coast line in full view of the pitch and passing drivers honk their horns in support of Caersws when they pass during a match.
West Coast line down in Sussex passes a county league ground of some sort but the name escapes me at the moment.

Thoroughly enjoyed the beer and the result! Thought you might! We are in trouble, I think Mills may have 'lost the dressing room' to use the old cliche. He's certainly beginning to lose the faith of a lot of the fans. Those more realistic amongst us never thought we would walk this league but so far we have been bloody awful. Long way to go and all that but it will take a big turnaround to get this bunch looking like play-off contenders.

nice blog, one incorrect point however, the area behind the dugout was cordoned off on preecey's request, following the abuse he got when he came to the lamb with carlisle

Well he's a big wuss then! It's not abuse, it's friendly banter, ask Liam Daish. It'll be the alleged racial remarks. Two people from the Black Country were actually caught for doing that, but Preece didn't want to take matters further. This makes him a dick. Mr Fraud was part of the reason too. I hate seeing Tamworth beaten by pub sides and Wusster resembled the Dog and Duck reserve XI - by far the worst team I've seen this season. Given that I've only seen Tamworth (dire) Wusster and Alfreton (Dog and Duck first XI ) Town, that's saying something. I know there's a drop in quality between the CONference and these minor leagues, but I didn't expect to see 22 (well, 26 including the officials) Muppets running around in clown suits every week! And they say the Southern section is even more pathetic?
