With Conference North side Nuneaton Borough going in to liquidation and therefore unable to compete in the league next season, it seemed likely that second bottom Vauxhall Motors would be saved from relegation.
However, it has been decided that Redditch United, who had been moved from Blue Square North to it's southern equivalent only a matter of weeks ago, will move back in to the Northern division and therefore Dorchester Town, second bottom in Conference South, will be saved from relegation.
Vauxhall may still find themselves in the Blue Square North next season if Boston United fail in their appeal against expulsion from the Conference, a scenario that may have seen Leigh RMI saved from the drop before Dorchester's reprieve.
Confused? You will be! So does that mean Kings Lyn and Wusster in the south? Where will the blessed Boston end up?
And if Nunny start in the Southern Midland does that shunt Chavstown into the NPL? My brain hurts.......

I am sure that Uncle Dennis; the one true brain of non-league footy, knows what he is doing  That in itself would be a shock to those around him, mind - I expect he's sat there tossing coins until someone actually explains where Redditch, Chasetown and Boston are geographically (and financially in the case of Boston)  |

Every year, about now, I start to shudder at the thought of Strudder the cow's udder sitting down with his pencil and papers to work out the fixture list for next season. I won't recover until after some mind bending not so local derbies and length of the northern region traffic congested bank holiday fixtures have been published when I will be able to vent my spleen on the insanity of it all.

I fully expected them to send you and Hednescum into the Southern and shunt Stourbridge and Halesowen into the NPL going by their Chavestown/ Willenhall / Ruhall logic.....

Boston and Halifax both failed their appeals. Boston have been placed in Unibond Premier, Vauxhall Motors have as such been reprieved. Halifax have been offered a provision place in Unibond Divison 1 North (as a 21st club) should they choose to apply for a position in the Unibond and they meet the requirements.
