I don't have anything better to do tomorrow, so if it isn't chucking it down with rain I might wander down towards West Drayton and take a break from beer consumption / sleeping. As you Sutton lot keep getting new mobile phones and/or losing them, I don't think I have any current numbers. If any of you are going to this mouth-watering *cough* fixture and still have my number (which has never changed ), chuck us a text message. If not, I may see you there. The reality is that I'll probably get an attack of apathy and not bother, but you never know. Right, off for a quick look at the GBG, although West London is notorious for having no decent beer, so I'm probably wasting my time.

Won't be there. Going to meet up with some Hawks on their way to Lewes and then i've got to go to work cos of f**k**g gay pride where it emerges we have money to spend on pink drapes and pink everything bloody else but not on installing proper steps, replacing broken chairs or anything else that might make a little more bloody sense than camping it up for the weekend.
On the other hand i'm delighted to have an excuse not to go to Uxbridge.

Can't be a*sed myself with Uxbridge. But I might go to Cambridge instead. That would be after I've completed the set of Good Beer Guide pubs in Hertfordshire (two required!)and the bus has brought me to Royston - which is conveniently on the line to Cambridge.

Well, that was a nice day out and I managed to work out who Sutton's part time supporters are too! Very nice to see you again Amber - one of these times I'll manage a real conversation that lasts longer than 60 seconds... Hope you make it to the GBBF. Good to chat to namesareforidiots too – the delights of Manchester, eh? Almost makes me enthusiastic for Saturday's trip to Droylsden. You'd have to describe Uxbridge as quaint, if only for the tea dance music before and after the match, although the old boy did crack out the rebellious 50s rock 'n' roll during half-time. Sutton pretty much dominated from start to finish with some neat passing football, creating loads of chances and conspiring to miss the majority. I had to check the programme at half time to make sure they'd not signed Tamworth's forward line during the week. Defensively, Sutton looked suspect - Uxbridge only created a couple of decent chances all game and put two of them away. The pace of the game was amazingly sluggish compared to Conference North, even if it was just a pre-season kick about. Pick of the Sutton mob was Mr Dreadlocks, who was unfortunate not to grab a goal. A mention also to Mr Wilde for a peach of a free kick - Amber, you may have missed Sutton's goal of the season already! Apparently the best booze on offer at the clubhouse was Newcastle Brown Ale, but I don't have the iron clad guts that I did in my youth, so headed off in search of some real stuff at the "Chris" De Burgh Arms by West Drayton station. They had four hand pumps, but sadly no ale. So, a quick jump on the U3 to Brunel University to check out the Load of Hay - a perfectly adequate ale house, even if there was some pollution on the bar in the form of Archer's latest 'dip of the sock' beer. Had time for a swift half in the Bree Louise near Euston before catching Mr Branson's snail pace express to Legoland. Cheers, yoooooths.

Jase mate, if you want to pay my wages and get me out of work i'd happily trek up to Uxbridge but not when there's good beer and work closer to home!
Part time my arse.
