Hello folks
Just knocking about on here for the first time.
Currently, I'm sitting in an Edinburgh internet cafe on a yearly jaunt to the fringe. I always try to take in some fitba while I'm here (to make up for missing H&Dub action), and tomorrow have chosen Montrose vs Annan for a tickle.
Question is, is Scottish Division Three tinpot enough, or should I be taking in Third Lanark, Kirkintilloch Rob Roy or something?
Indeed, is the fact that I've callously abandoned H&W in their hour of need just so I can pretend to be cultured make me so not tinpot as to actually be a glory-huntin' flipknuckle?
As I say, I'm new here so I need to know - how does one earn one's tinpot stripes?

The very fact that you are trying your best to be tinpot makes you tinpot to begin with!
I think that match is tinpot enough. Scottish football is tinpot below the Premier League. As for abandoning your own team... well.... *clicks tongue*

You just keep yer clickin' to yerself young Amber! Personally Skif, the sacrifice in search of three points is one I understand - so bravo! Coops, a fellow bloggster and groundhopper of note (though he despises the label) might suggest a jaunt through the Highland League - the views and craic tend to be better! Tinpot just is Grasshopper! You acquire it without knowing. Pleasant travels sir.

And that is why, Coops, I genuflect in the direction of your big tin crown. There really isn't enough tongue clicking on non-league fora, I've come to believe. This thread is a step in the right direction. Next year I'll definitely come here before the English season starts, this was a schoolboy error (despite the sarificial lamb theory). Also, next time, just to cement my tinpotness, I'll go and watch Civil Service Strollers or something. Cheers for the Marje Proops-esque advice folks. I can rest easier now.

Stop being mean, Hawky. Oh, and Skif, the word "tinpotness" can also be rendered as "tinpoticity," which I think has more of a tinpot ring to it

I would have hunted out some Edinburgh and District League matches - or some Under 9's Mini-Soccer
Now THAT's tinpot

Scottish div 3 tinpot. not so many seasons ago Hucknall we were in the same division (unibond 1) with, yes, you've guessed it, GRETNA.
