Arrived home in time to catch the last throes of Final Score today. As the sands of time ran out, came the fateful words- " Goal at the City of Manchester Stadium!" Sure as eggs is eggs it was a 92nd minute winner for Everton This was actually the best result of the day for me by some distance, as all "Sultan Sides" sank without trace The Story so far: Manchester City 0 Everton 1 Ross County 1 Livingstone 4 Elgin City 0 Some other scots div 3 team 4 Coleraine 1 Linfield 4 Aberwrystwyth 5 Porthmadog 2 At time of writing, the streak continues in Europe with Ankaragucu currently trailling Besiktas 1-0 in the Turkish Superligi. My best chance of a result appears to be in France and that's only because the 2 teams i follow there, Auxerre and Paris St Germain are playing each other tonight!!! Football. Bloody Hell.

Rumour up in God's own country is that Elgin have applied to drop back into The Highland League. This would be an immensly sensible decision, they are struggling in a league where they have to visit places like Berwick and Annan twice a season, where's the sense in that?
