Dead chuffed it was Chris Hoy. Bit of a suprise given cycling is a Cinderella sport in GB. ;D ;D ;D

Seems to have caused a bit of a major sulking fest on the Conference Forum but I was pleased with the result (though voted for Rebecca Adlington myself).

Quite annoyed that Mark Cavendish (who won 4 stages in this year's Tour de France - the best ever performance by an IoM / British Cyclist iirc) didn't even get a nomination and only got a 3 second mention in the programme itself

Brit cycling is on the up and there are an ever increasing number of our home grown riders being selected to ride the major races by their teams. Hopefully it won't be too long before we see a team GB in THE TOUR. ;D

Must admit I voted for Romero but thats because she was at school with my wife and I was told to vote for her.
Honestly I'd have given it to Ben Ainslie but that's because I suspect all cyclists of cheating and find swimming dull.

As a keen cyclist the most dispiriting thing is I quote "I suspect all cyclists of cheating" While drugs were the norm in years gone by I doubt that to be the case now. Of course there will inevitably be individuals who think they can beat the system. The good thing about cycling is they pursue the riders and show no quarter when a cheat is unearthed.

I am happy Chris Hoy won although a little disappointed that the GBP still manage in mind-boggingly high numbers to vote for F1. For God's Sake, the award has both "Sports" and "Personality" in the title.
