Who would have thought it 3 points clear in the blue square south after beating Chelmsford. Another 2 goals from Jon Main to add to his collection, plus a brilliant display from his partner in crime Danny Kedwell.
COME ON THE DONS!

Wot she says, though I wouldn't have been so BBB as to post it. The real heroes of the day though, were my fellow stewards who had to deal with hundreds of supporters who were locked out (we need to make this match all ticket next time). I had an easy time of it myself, although I couldn't see very well (missed all our goals - sob).

Well being away all I get is what I can hear on WDON. Problem is if you make that one game all ticket you will have to start making all matches ticketed, else other clubs will complain. Yes I know most teams don't have enough away support but there will still be complaints, also defeats alot of the point of non league football.

I'm only talking about the big matches Nicks. Newport, Dover and Bromley (and possibly a couple of other teams). brought a lot but those matches were manageable and not all ticket. There's no reason to think those clubs would complain about the matches not being all ticket.
However, yesterday proved that we've got to consider it for Chelmsford in the future, especially if both teams are near the top of the league.
Also, IF we get promoted, we'll have to deal with the likes of Oxford and Cambridge (and any other clubs in the conference who have a larger support than we do), plus possibly Luton and Bournemouth.
We have to consider the possibility of all ticket on an occasional basis.

All ticket is expensive though. Although since you have to pay for my dad to be there (he's sort of in charge of your Met Police presence) already then maybe it's not that much. The problem you had was Chelmo saying they'd bring 400 and you estimating 3000 tops so with that info/guestimate the all ticket idea was never a consideration. You handled Wycombe well enough though so it's just a case of proper intelligence and experience. The more big games you have the better you can guess the potential attendance. Of course you could always borrow GGL, we can take 7000

Checking the scores on the "red button" on Saturday i was slightly taken aback not by the score but by the attendance!?!
Was that 4000+ for real? It beat about half of League 2 and some in League 1.

Give or take a few absent season ticket holders (they're counted whether or not they attend), yes. The ground was packed.

How many were left outside? Who knows? The guestimates are anything between 200 and 500.
