There's a nice story on the letters page of today's NLP.
The Bank Holiday match between Walsall Wood and Pershore Town was called off at about ten to three - because Pershore hadn't turned up.
It seems they thought it was an evening kick-off.
;D ;D

I'll tell you what's tinpot - getting your fans to design your kit! Not far from the Midland Combination, Scaffold Rangers are doing just that. I thought I'd help: A nice 'scaffold' pattern (based on a modified Flickr photo) with 0-5 in the weave. Shirley it's going to win?

I was a little confused at first, was this guy another SRFC fan on the board and then the penny dropped - Teeny-Tiny Tamworth!!!! It's just like the olden days when the little vassal states around the far east all bent at the knee and paid tribute to their mighty Chinese masters. I felt humbled and just a little guilty that you had made the effort to design a new kit for your slumbering giant Staffordshire neighbours when i'd never even consider wasting spending my time doing something for T-TTFC There is a slight inaccuracy with your 0-5 weave though, as we only beat you 2-1 at the Theatre of Sheeps back in April this year. To ease my guilt and remembering your aversion to registering on any forum, i entered your design on the SRFC website and one reply thought it looked "very cool" and would like to see it without the "0-5". Things have moved on apace at Marston Road and the temporary stands have now gone. In fact, with your return to Conference National, the scaffolding could be coming to a ground near you soon and you may also be seeing more of those 0-5's than you can shake a stick at! So congratulations on your promotion T-TTFC and have a good season ;D

I once very nearly entered a Burberry AFC Wombles kit into their kit competition the season their less classy fans decided to spend the majority of an SSC game in our end chucking abuse.
