I was firkling around trying to find out who WCFC WERE playing when that pic of Lea was taken and found this. Oh, Daza, Daza - what kind of supreme form or idiot has been allowed to run your club so?? I mean, Excluding Nunnery Way - statement of the obvious now; it;s just too expensive, but hey dudes, let's stay here for a couple more years and wait until SGL is pretty well worthless in terms of it financing a move??!
After some years actively seeking ways forward for the Club in the relocation process David Hallmark has decided to hand over the Project Management to Jim Panter who will be tasked with both the sale of Saint George's Lane and achieving best value under very challenging circumstances, together with identifying viable alternatives for the Club to move to.
The latter process has now started with some five sites under consideration, excluding Nunnery Way, which, at present, still has to be considered if only for reasons of time and costs already expended by the Club on the initial process of investigation.
The present situation with the sale of SGL may allow for the Club to stay at the present site for the rest of this season and two more which, with a reduced value from SGL and the cost of remaining and maintaining SGL, will impact on the Club's profitability and viability.
The Board's view, however, remains that this timeframe should allow ample time to find a viable solution and provide a realistic workable alternative. With this in mind, Jim Panter and Alan Williams will in the coming weeks be providing information on their findings on these alternatives.
In the meantime David Hallmark has confirmed he wishes to stand down as a Director to pursue other interests and will be taking no further part in the Management of the Club.
