Fair to say that you and your friends caused a stir! We rarely get ANY fans, let alone those of the female persuasion. Must be leaving a trail of devastation through the Ryman league?
I'll try and get a photo of the hat. Most of photos are of him straddling people while dressed as a policewoman, so it could be a tough ask!

We liked Guildford's 'twinning' arrangements with Gillford Park of the Northern League and (get this!) Havnar Boltfelag of the Faroese Premier Division. Wonderfully tinpot! Oh aye, we love the twinning! Gillford Park approached us after people kept getting them confused with us, as you can imagine. And I must confess to having more than a small part to play in the link with HB of the Faroes - I'm in the middle of writing a book on the Faroese language and two of the co-writers are ex HB/Faroe Islands players!

Oh yeah, that was my favourite page in the programme What did you make of our programme then, compared to Ryman standards? shouldn't that be "twinpot"? Good lord that's terrible, but good, but terrible...

Sorry I liked your programme. It was a short read, much shorter than yer average Ryman, but I prefer that to a big thick thing full of adverts and boringly laid out stats. Yours was actually interesting. We have a twin club too... www.suttonunited.net/community_gambia.html

I love you The Faroes are fantastic - one day I'll make it there, definitely within the next decade.

The Faroes are fantastic - one day I'll make it there, definitely within the next decade. Good man! I've developed a strange fascination with the Faroes (and other small countries of that ilk - i.e. Liechtenstein, Luxembourg). And of course it's all because of football... It all started back when I was 10 or so, playing football games on the computer and finding this little tiny country called the Faroe Islands and their star striker Uni Arge. By a strange coincidence, over a decade later, he is now helping me to write the book! I'm hoping to go over there soon, in the summer perhaps. I was half-offered a job to go over and be a broadcast sound engineer for their equivalent of the BBC, but I think that living there would be a bit too much and the novelty would wear thin after a while!

Hang on... have I entered some parallel universe where I was in fact born 5 years earlier in Guildford?
I've actually been to Luxembourg (and their national stadium, of course!) and it didn't disappoint. Liechtenstein, Andorra and Georgia are also long-term targets, while I might make San Marino this year, despite never really being into that particular country.

I think there are quite a few people who have a thing for these small countries - and especially regarding football grounds etc. It's just I've never found anyone else before! My friends just think it's a bit strange...

John Combes of Reading Town FC would be an excellent addition to this forum, he could even post some pictures of his drumstick and the infamous Tunisian marching drum!

Mr Baggies hat here - doesn't quite work as a profile name but never mind. Ambersalamander thank you for inviting us onto your site and for your (unreasonably) kind words about the Spectrum. All in all I think I made the right decision not to have you ejected from the ground for supporting your team too enthusiastically.
I have to agree that we were rather outclassed although if we had put that chance away early on who knows. I can only wish the U's good luck in the future rounds and console myself that everyone's evening was made that bit more interesting by the astute and accurate observations made over the tannoy.
Mugs are a good idea - Matt, sorry "Regan", we'll have to look into that.
