I was listening to xfm radio the other morning when an interesting snippet of information caught my ear. It seems that indie folk rockers Mumford & Sons are fans of....AFC Wimbledon!
Is anybody aware of any other celebrities (and we can go right down to Z list for this purpose ;D ) who have an affiliation to non-League football?
Man City may claim the Gallagher brothers and Watford have Sir Elton John. But does any star admit to supporting a Tamworth, Telford or Totton?

One of our supporters mentioned that on our guestbook.
Anyway, we also have Alun Armstrong (surprise surprise) and I believe his son Jonas (Robin Hood?), Sam West (son of Timothy), a relatively well-known boxer, and an olympic gold medal winning rower.
Apparently June Whitfield (avid Wimbledon supporter) lost interest in football when her husband died.

I wish XFM would broadcast a warning when they are about to play Mumford and sons so I can re-tune. Every bloody hour it is and no mistake...

We can't claim any celebrity fans at Stafford Rangers to my knowledge, but i do remember The Climax Blues Band who hailed from Stafford, being pictured in the Stafford Newsletter back in the 1970's wearing Stafford Rangers scarves Their big hit, Couldn't Get it Right is like an anthem to both my life and that of the Rangers. Our hated rivals from accross the Chase, Hednesford Town, claim former Page 3 girl Jackie Degg ( her father David was once manager of the binmen if memory serves) as their celebrity fan. There has to be a joke in there about HTFC and tits... Votp - sod XFM and go here... den-a.plr.liquidcompass.net/player/flash/audio_player.php?id=WMXJFM&uid=23Majic 102.7 - the Greatest hits of the 60's and 70's. Mumford free- guaranteed! ;D
