A dispute has broken out between the Canadian provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewen over the latter's zero tolerance towards coyotes.
Apparently, the animals are such a pest in Sask that the government there have put a bounty on their heads (or to be more accurate their paws) - a princely C$20 per dead coyote, money paid out on receipt of paws removed from said dead coyote.
Unfortunately, paw-less coyote corpses are now turning up in neighbouring Alberta where the animals are seen as lovable and misunderstood as Sask bounty hunters pour accross the state line in search of extra cash.
A plague on both their houses - Sask for persuing policies that reward animal cruelty and Alberta for using the unfortunate coyotes as a smoke-screen to divert attention from the great traffic light controversy in Calgary (see Clubhouse- How The Other Half Lives)
Coyotes have feelings too. They should not sbe used as a poltical football!

I'm guessing that it'll be considered fairly bad that I don't care very much about Canadian coyotes. Never liked them despite the roadrunner cartoons of my youth.
