Obviously for me has to be our playoff final last year, atmosphere was excellent before, during and after the game. A mass ppitch invasion after the final whistle and the hilarious antics of the Kendal Town goal keeper, it was 1-1, Alfie Carter was going up the right wing and their keeper runs out to him, Alfie loses posession but gets the ball to team captain Sean Parrish. The keeper was stranded up between the corner flag and the dugouts giving Parrish a chance to score the winner. :

We're a nice bunch really!! It's just a few opinionated, arrogant tw*ts who frequent various Internet forums who give us a bad name!!! Nice to see a Maggo.... sorry, Magpie on this forum - nice to meet you Bluepole & thanks for reminding me about the 4-1 ISIHAC - with this prevailing climate of peace and love does this mean all Terras fans will now get the red carpet treatment at the (potential) replayed match at WLP??

Without a doubt it has to be our appearance in last seasons FA Trophy final where we lost to the bookies favourites Grays.
For a team that only 15years ago were playing Notts alliance park football breathtaking stuff really.
Even though we lost every Hucknall fan was bursting with pride. It was a fantastic atmosphere and was a privilage to have been there. I consider myself very fortunate to have been part of the occasion and the build up to the final. We even made a cd "is this the way to Aston Villa" to the tune of Amarillo, the proceeds of which went to the Macmillan fund.
A major national final is an experience all teams ought to get a stab at. I'll remember it forever. ;D

- Trouncing Gloucester 4-0 one of my earlier memories following the Faithful City. - In the 2002/3 season A racist slur from Paul Hyde caused uproar when Dover beat us 0-1 at home, next time he came to the lane 6/3/03, we were giving him all the abuse neccesary for a racist, went 1-0 down and he turns round and calls us wankers etc. equalised on 44' with a blatantly offside goal and scored 4 in hte second half, so sweet waving him off at the end. The best bit was when Adam Wilde stamped on him and the ref didnt give it But the best TIE... this year, 22/10/05 ACCRINGTON STANLEY (2nd Conf Nat.) v. WORCESTER CITY (21st NN) FA CUP 4Q come back from 1 down to earn a battling 1-1 draw. 24/10/05: WORCESTER CITY v. ACCRINGTON STANLEY fac 4Qrep. 11' Worcester City 0-1 Accrington Stanley 15' Worcester City 0-2 Accrington Stanley 35' Worcester City 1-2 Accrington Stanley Chris Smith loping header, suddenly we believed. HT (1-2) 65' Worcester City 2-2 Accrington Stanley Wedgbury 30 yarder bottom corner - best goal ive ever seen at the lane WILD CELEBRATIONS FROM THE SHED 66' Worcester City 1-2 Accrington Stanley GOAL DISSALLOWED FOR OFFSIDE - Lino got some crap! 75' Worcester City 2-2 Accrington Stanley Webster bullet header. Cue - Wild celebrations again after a second silence while EVERYONE looked at the lino. 82' Accrington Stanley goal disallowed for offside. 89' Preece free kick, 20 yards out, hairs standing on the back of ones neck, he belts it through the wall Dibble parrys it, WARNERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.................................... YESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WEVE DONE IT - WE F*****G DID IT!!!! 90 (+4)' FULL TIME: WORCESTER CITY 3 - 2 ACCRINGTON STANLEY

ISIHAC - with this prevailing climate of peace and love does this mean all Terras fans will now get the red carpet treatment at the (potential) replayed match at WLP?? Steady on old chap! I mean; what would the neighbours say? Seriously, IF there's another bash, (Not a good choice of word!) then we will be on our best behaviour. As with Muff, there's one or two fackwits at WLP who give the rest a bad name. Peace, love & tranquility ;D

Difficult to pick favourites after going to matches since 1974, seeing two great "eras" and hopefully a third in the making now.Nathan Smiths stunning strike at Scum Park which put us 2-0 up against the Binmen but a few standout games are as follows:
Small Town in Cannock 3 SRFC 3.
A southern league "derby" at Scum Park where we trailed 3-1 deep into the second half, in a game mostly dominated by the Binmen as both sides battled relegation. Ryan Price made a magnificent point-blank save to stop the Binmen going 4-1 ahead. Chris Brindley pulled it back to 3-2 before with virtually the last kick, Darren Simkin despatched a Beckhamesque free-kick to stun the Binmen and earn us a point.
Ilkeston Town 0 Stafford Rangers 5
Tremendous FA Cup 4th QF tie. 2001/2 had ended with the departure of most of the SRFC players along with manager Ian Painter who went to the Binmen. New manager Phil Robinson found himself with (quote) " A goalkeeper, a set of goalnets and a few footballs" and had to rebuild from scratch. Two of the previous seasons mainstays, Scott Dundas and Paul Kiely had gone to Ilkeston and along with their team mates were blown away by a rampant Boro' side. Highlight was a fine sweeping move from back to front for the 5th goal, crashed in by rag-slaying hero Dennis Bailey. Shedenders in brilliant form. Fantstic day out, and wonderful revenge for being turfed out of the FA Trophy by the same opposition in 1983.
Wigan Athletic 1 Stafford Rangers 2
NPL match from 1975/6 at Springfield Park. The first half had belonged exclusively to Wigan, scoring through Geoff Wright and raining shots in the Boro' goal, leaving us speechless that the latics could only end the half one goal ahead. The 2nd seemed to be going the same way until skipper Bob Ritchie was sent off for a blatant body check. Clearly a foul. An obvious booking, but a sending off? Ironically as they were reduced to 10 men Stafford began to put more fire and enthusiasm into their play. Roger Jones put in a curling shot that deceived Eales in the Wigan goal and crept just inside the post before Stuart Hutchison followed up in true goal-poaching style to give us the winner.
Burton Albion 1 Stafford Rangers 4
NPL, 1984/5 at Eaton Park. Boro' made us believe that the title was on it's way back to Marston Road by blowing away a Burton side who had reached the 3rd round of the FA Cup and still had chances of promotion themselves. The players were obviously "up" for it with skipper Kevin Mooney clearly being seen and heard before kick-off, shaking his fist to his players and growling " We've got to f***ing do it tonight!"Showing skill, verve and a steely determination Boro shrugged off the setback of an early Brewer's goal to hit 4 without reply with Phil Derbyshire outstanding.

I think mine was Farnborough, having gone the previous year (which was the time of the train, and me shouting at a boy scout leader) in the trophy, we decided as it was our favourite away town to make the first trip in the league on the supporters coach, meeting the "Bob's" and racing across a dual carriageway and getting stuck at the railings in the centre in an attempt to use some macdonalds vouchers....
Anywho, we were 2-0 down with about 15 minutes to go, when we put Cooper on as a substitute, and he took a free kick and scored. He took a second free kick which hit the bar, and Richard Follett (mmmmmmm... I do believe it was Richard Follett!) hammered in the equaliser.... not to be satisfied with a draw so late in the game Coops then took a third free kick and scored an absolute beauty from about 40 yards... well worth the trip!!!

Simple: City winning the Ryman play-offs 5-4 away at Bedford. We were 3-1 down at half-time and destined to play Harrow and Kingstonian forever more!
Where would we be now I wonder?

Rem9inds me of one of Telford's games last season, Rocester away. The Romans were 3-1 up at half time and expecting their first league win of the season (which incidently never came) we brought on Carl Tranter at half time, scored the Bucks' first ever hat-trick in a game we eventually won 5-3.

Has there ever been a team worse (statistically) than last years Rocester team?

Never in the Unibond, Rocester broke a record in their short stay. In lower leagues though there have been worse cases (including 0 points) but i can't remember who managed it.

Poole Town's record in the Dr Martens League in 1995/96 was: Played 42, Won 0, Drawn 1, Lost 41, Goals for 17, Goals against 188 They got their point in a 0-0 draw with Bashley in the final game of the season.

Worst Rocester could manage was P42 W0 D6 L36 F31 A132 GD-101 Pts6 . Back in the Midland Football Alliance (which 2 years back the managed to win the league) they have recently got their first league win for a long time, away at Quorn.
