...as I drove past Church Road last Thursday and see that builders boards have gone up around the car park of the ground. Looks like the first stages of building work has started at Hayes Also heard that the clubhouse ain't taking any bookings after April. All this, at the moment, means that the game against Kettering Town on 25th April will be the last ever game to be played at Church Road.

I hope the car park is open on the 1st March, I really don't fancy trekking home on public transport after our inevitable 0-1 loss, ho-hum. Looking forward to catching up with Chairman Lee again - nice bloke.
Having spoken to a couple of HandY supporters recently, they seemed pretty keen to move into Yeading's old ground.

Mr confused of Klattering here. Are you moving back to Yeading while Church Rd is redeveloped or moving permanently? The club website seems to be lacking in detail on the whole episode.

Here you go Hawky www.hyufc.net/news_files/news_ground.html It's a permanent move. I chatted with a couple of guys when I went to Church Road last week. There seems to be a bit of confusion as to when they're moving to Yeading's ground. One guy said that they had to be out immediately after the last match of the season, by which time the Ferdinand suite would already have gone. Another guy said that the Ferdinand suite was booked up with functions until early May and that Barratts had agreed to let the club honour those bookings. The chairman of the supporter's club seems to think that they'll start next season still at Church Road, but with limited facilities and that they'll fully move by halfway through the season. Confused? You will be.......
