For future reference what will be the best route to your place from Kingston? I can cycle the route from mine to Kingston blindfolded (I wouldn't encourage it though!) but beyond there is unfamiliar ground for me. I know you'll see this as a doddle Sal

Me? Then "Sutton" would have been a good word to use, too When are you planning on visiting? From Kingston, the best cycling route is as follows. Take Kingston Road (A2043) and follow it all the way to the A24 at North Cheam - it turns right at the Fountain roundabout. Turn left when you get to the A24 (London Road). Pass 2 sets of traffic lights (first is Sainsbury's, second a pedestrian crossing) then turn right at the third, Gander Green Lane. As you know, our lovely house is on this road. You'll get to a big crossroads, which you go straight over, and the ground is immediately after another pedestrian crossing on the left. You'll like this route if you like nice big hills, because you'll get three between Worcester Park and North Cheam ;D

What kind of hill are they like? Anything like Turners Hill down south?

Nah, they're not big really! A cyclist like you wouldn't have any trouble with them at all.
