There's a rather haunting melody used as the play-out tune on one of Mrs Sultan's chinese series that i can't shake off. She tells me it's called something that sounds like "Ni da ai wo da ten" by a lady whose name sounds like Dan Ping Jiang. I can't find it on youtube for the life of me. I'll have to find a way of getting a screen cap of the original chinese words across to a friend or relly with a chinese character keyboard before it drives me nuts.

...and now it's got even worse. The lovely, melodic chinese song has been replaced by the Sunrays singing "Andrea! Woo! oo! oo! oo! oo! oo! oo! oo! oo!" It took me back to my first girlfriend in 1975 and the mean way i left her crying in the street when i split up with her www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxRWxSZaRVkAll Tinpotters must listen to this, i don't want to suffer alone ;D

For about the last fortnight I've had "It's got to be-e-e-e-e-e-e-e Purrfect!" going round in my head

Since last night that Serbian entry for Eurovision has stuck with me. After City winning the FA Cup reminded me of being 9years old when we last won it, this gave me sort of "feelgood" 60's vibes. ;D www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4YXyft3oBs&feature=relatedBetter than having bloody " Andrea! Woo ooo ooo ooo!" oh poo.

I didn't catch Eurovision, because Himself won't have it in the house I now have "Carlotta Valdez" by Harvey Danger, having watched "Vertigo" at the weekend (the song is about the film, even if they did spell her name wrong)

For some other reason, and I really have no idea, I now have Susannah's Still Alive by the Kinks. I haven't even heard it for ages.

Thanks to Gideon Coe's 6Music show I hear things I've not listened to for ages that then get stuck in my head. Last week it was Iechyd Da by those Welsh scamps Gorky's Zygotic Mynci. This week it's been He's On The Phone by St Etienne.

I heard Roger Miller's 'King of the Road' playing in a pub on Saturday. (Y'know, the one that starts: "Trailers for sale or rent, rooms to let...fifty cents".) It's a distinctive song that I'd heard many times before but never thought much about. But this time it got so stuck in my head I felt compelled to google it and do some research.
