Figures from the world of sports and politics rushed to condemn the so called "Tinpot Tiff", an argument between Jared and loyPRA over Man Utd keeper David De Gea that degenerated into insults and mud-slinging.
A "disappointed" Joey Barton tweeted "I love TT for it's gentle, whimsical humour and these clowns have dishonoured that" while Rio Ferdinand mused "These individuals abuse the very freedoms that brave Syrians are dying for." Wayne Rooney challenged loyPRA "I'm offering you out. I'll be waiting here if you're man enough."
Boxer Derek Chisora came swinging in against loyPRA. "There are certain standards of behaviour that need to be upheld, lines that should not be crossed over and loyPRA went far beyond that. It's not as though he's a first offender. Meadow had to delete one of his posts a while ago and back in the days of Pyramid Portal he gave Stillmanjunior all kinds of crap. It's about time loyPRA was suspended from cyberspace."
Rival David Haye was scathing of Jared. "It takes two to tango!" thundered the Hayemaker. " He's no angel himself. He used to fill Pyramid Portal with one word posts and disrespected his elders. A real man would've risen above such provocation and kept his dignity intact. That's the lesson Jared needs to take from this." Audley Harrison mourned the decline of a "...great champion" who had now become " a shambling self-parody of his former self. Once loyPRA dismantled a robot. Now even Stafford Rangers and Carshalton Athletic fans laugh at him."
Secret TFFN sources claim that controversial cleric Abu Qatada used the "Tinpot Tiff" as an example of UK government "hypocrisy" in his Friday prayers. "I am not allowed to spread the Holy Word Of God over the internet, yet this loyPRA is allowed to spew his poisonous messages of hate all over Tinpot Terrace!"
PM David Cameron was said to be "extremely angry" when news reached No.10 and demanded a report on his desk within two days. Justice Secretary Ken Clarke tried to play down the rift as "not serious" because violence was not threatened.
This drew a furious response from Labour's Harriet Harman who said that "..there is no such thing as serious and non-serious insults. ALL insults are serious." Ed Milliband, meanwhile, called on Mr Cameron to sack the Justice Secretary. The fact that Mr Cameron had not already done so "showed how out of touch this Prime Minister and this Government really are."
Deputy PM Nick Clegg said that the Tinpot Tiff had it's roots in events that occured during the Blair/Brown era and was "typical of the mess that this Coalition Government was left to clean up after New Labour."
The origins of the dispute remain shrouded in mystery. Following the demise of the former "Pyramid Portal", two former members giving themselves the suffix "PRA" (Portal Revolutionary Army) appear as guests on Tinpot Terrace from time to time, often contradicting or aiming barbs at registered TT members. PRA members have yet to elaborate on the claim that Pyramid Portal was "murdered" but vow " The PRA will never forget." All attempts on behalf of this newspaper to find out what really happened have similarly been met with a wall of silence from the TT establishment.
