Hello everyone,
I have just joined the forum and look forward to reading about all things non-league. Today is the deadline day for my club Truro City FC to put a financial bond in place with The Football Conference, otherwise we will be thrown out of the league. I live in Buckinghamshire, well over 300 miles from Cornwall but follow all their away games. Yesterday I bought the new replica shirt for the club - 24 hours from now we may not have a team. I hope to be wearing it on Saturday at Eastleigh FC where the home team are going to donate the gate reciepts for the game to Truro - what a great gesture from a fellow league team. I hope to be in touch again with some good news tomorrow morning. Non-league football is so enjoyable that I can't think that my fix will have to come to and end!!!!
Cheers Sean

Iain - sort of yes and no. They're one of those clubs that allow themselves to be taken over by a local money man and fails in its responsibility to ensure that said money man doesn't spend beyond his means. But as far as I can tell, their fans aren't the ones expecting sympathy and were never on his side to begin with. They certainly weren't a year ago. So yeah, sort of. Ian with one i - if you like shopping then why are you moaning, and if you don't then why did you go? If someone asks me to go shopping and I don't want to, i say "Not this time thanks."
