In light of the many whoopin's that Dorch seem to be on the receiving end of this season I thought I'd try and rank some of them and wondered what others feelings were. Note: Obviously teams performances fluctuate (gawd knows ours do) but patterns may form For me, and I've missed a couple of games, the best team I saw was the Lewes squad in the FA Cup at ours when they spanked us 4-0. Thought they were very average this weekend but happily for them we decided that allowing them to win by a 4 goal margin at ours is now a regular fixture. Also strongly opposed to O'Connor the little backflipping sheister. Also impressed with: -Cambridge at theirs (nice open football - cracking game to watch). -Welling repeatedly. Especially when we mugged them to win 2-1. Serves them right though for their fans mullering our poor fans beforehand in a friendly (me poor legs still haven't recovered). From all the other games I've watched I thought we could win on another day. Dunno what is going on at the moment as man for man our squad is much better than last season but we can't seem to play together at all Stupid football. I've depressed myself all over again. Happily I get to play football in a bit to cheer me up

Oh, you weren't at that game against us, were you? We'd have been top of your list I'd go for Bognor every year, simply because of the six points ;D

Bognor ALWAYS seem to play lovely football when we play them. Unfortunately for them they defend like us! Always entertaining to watch the games though - unless said game being 3 seasons ago when victory would have meant a play-off spot and we lost 7-2! That fecking hurt lots.

Yeah, I do like the Bognor footballing style. Apart from their slightly dodgy defence, I've never really been able to put my finger on exactly what they're doing wrong to let us beat them every season... well, they haven't beaten US for 3397 years anyway!

Bognor were absolutely amazing against Eastbourne in the Sussex Senior Cup. Bognor are the mystery of life that will never be worked out. Such a superb footballing side but never going to be up there in the league. Salisbury are still my team of the season though

Salisbury for their distribution skills! On the pitch a different matter - we caught them in full FA Cup hiatus mode! On the pitch, probably Wesel - certainly the most enjoyable game witnessed this season (With Hawk involvement anyway ) For sheer entertainment value; Hucknall - guaranteed to get value for money

Best team we've played was Stevenage in the Trophy Quarter Finals. In the league, Bishops Stortford were good, but most impressive were Havant, though as ISIHAC notes we did play them slap bag in the middle of our two games v Forest. The return game, on the tuesday night in the last week of the season could be a big one.

Stevenage?! Ah come on Dave, don't tell me you weren't blown away by our skills last night :-(
I'm still waiting for the day when the team remembers they're actually pretty good at football and can win games. We're currently accepting defeat before we even go out there and making schoolboy errors. Heartbreaking. Well, not for the opposition.

Best team we've played was Stevenage in the Trophy Quarter Finals. You didn't rate Forest then? Our best opposition has to've been Norwich - came and did a professional job on us. But... we had a helluva time getting there! The league... as per normal, needing a 250 mile round trip just to see a home game, I haven't seen that many and for a lot of what I did attend my brain has done the 'instictive' bit and blanked a lot of the trauma from my memory so it's not really for me to comment. Best day out... Rushden away, in the FACup, on the 'beer bus'. Even if we'd lost it would still've been a fantastic day out!

For us so far footballing wise it's either Witton or Whitby. Whitby are the one team to beat us at home this season (1-3), we beat Witton 3-1 but they looked dangerous even when they went down to 10 men (their played stamped on Dean Craven). We were 2-1 up in the dying minutes, they got a corner and brought their keeper forwrd, we got the ball off them and Glenn Tolley ran most of the length of the field to score and make it 3-1 to us.
Tough to pick a winner, there have been some good teams this season, I'll go for:
1. Whitby Town (H1-3) 2. Witton Albion (H3-1) 3. Matlock Town (H3-1, A1-2) 4. Marine (A2-0) 5. Guiseley (H3-2, A1-0)
Our score being the first of the two in each match, their's being the 2nd naumber. Regardless of home/away teams.
