Well congratulations to the Tamworth Tinpotters on your 4-0 win at Marston Road this afternoon. Full marks, you were first to the ball every time and took your chances well when they arrived. To top it all, that thingy with the drum was driving me batty and I'd dearly loved to have put his head through it, win lose or draw.
Without trying to be sarcastic, i think today that we saw the difference between a club that has become hardened in the relegation-battle fire over the past few years and one that really didn't seem to know what they were doing or realise just how much was at stake today.
We've had some good performances this season, notably the 4-1 win at Gravesend, 2-1 win at Exeter and onTuesday our battling 1-1 draw at Dagenham. As usual, we seem to keep our worst performance for when Tamworth are in the County Town.
Today SRFC were inept, ineffectual, inefficient, incompetent, inefficient, unproductive, inadequate, unfit, awkward, maladroit, bungling, oafish, inappropriate, unfitting, improper, unwise, imprudent, undesirable, unworthy, unsatisfactory, absurd, foolish, silly, assinine, inane, imbecilic, crazy, screwy, pointless, nonsensical, senseless, meaningless, amphigoric, farcical, ridiculous and ludicrous.

I'm not keen on the drum either, but when you pull off a result like that everything is good!
I really expected more fight from the team that got a draw at Dagenham, so what happened?
Actually, who cares, what a f**kin' day, what a f**kin' result.
If my son was wavering about being a Tamuff fan today might just have swayed him.
Wonderful.

Hi Coops. Seems like the socks haven't lost any of their power. Your earlier results were part of a cunning and devious plan by the socks to get rid of a crap manager and install one who knows what he's doing. Momentum should carry you to safety now.

...we can have two tinpot teams in the Conf National It's The Conference. We're far too high in the pyramid to require a tinpot suffix.

All getting rather interesting in the Conference basement. It rather looks as if Southport and St Albans are set to make swift returns to Nationwide North and South. But Tamuff and Alty seem to be struggling out of the mire - while Stafford and Woking (ha!) slide towards it. Next Saturday's encounter at Kingfield could be a little tense.
