We had a nice replay tonight at Woodford United, who kindly invited us to their lovely house in Northamptonshire It was Tinpot. The ground turned out to be in the middle of nowhere- really in the middle of nowhere. The sort of place that has a local shop for local people and the entire village turns out to watch the game. There was a most tinpot sign at the entrance to the ground, and the programme cover was beautifully designed by a 9-year-old. No, really- I'm not taking the mick. It was, and her name is Amy Cooper. I instantly liked the ground, and not just because the people were friendly (which they were, extremely, and gave us a lovely welcome). It's a tidy little place, and I liked it because it was very tinpot but so well kept. I like tinpot when it's done well. Their bar isn't tinpot though- it's quite new and very nice and shiny. As with most tinpot clubs, the food was super too Sutton played, as usual, like complete cretins, but managed to squeeze a 2-0 victory courtesy of Craig Watkins, who seemed determined to say "why the hell did you drop me?" This is about the first bit of spirit I've seen in the side all season, and if the rest of the team would show some too we might actually start winning more! I'm only writing about this because it was so tinpot but I'm tired now and can't be bothered any more

Brilliant. I've been to Woodford, about four years ago. It was great then and it sounds like they are still the same superbly friendly people they were back then.
These places are the lifeblood of this game, more power to their collective elbows.

Quite liked Woodford. Was intresting the notice the contrast in locations during our journey, as we started off in Sutton, went through London but by the end we were driving through proper rural middle England. Saw an omen before the game in that their new clubhouse was opened by the Coventry 1987 cup winning team. The food was rather nice (even if the choice was rather basic). As mentioned by Sal they had a fantastic programme cover. The only spoiler was the game, but a win is a win.
