It's tough at the top. It's also a pile o' poo at the bottom, but most certainly tough at the top. Especially when you are not really sure just how many points your team has We occupy the final playoff place in Conie Sarff & are 5 points clear of the team in 6th, which may revert to two and a series of potential brown-trouser moments this coming Tuesday & the following Saturday... A win this week would be nice - goes without saying - but unless we win the last three and others drop points, our destiny ultimately lies with the FA appeal panel. We have three games to go - against sides currently in the top 8; one is certain to be in the playoffs - the other two can be if they win their remaining, we do not AND get stung for those three points that the Tony Taggart farce may or may not cost us! Tomorrow we get a visit from The Buns (Stale Buns City); a win will not guarantee anything, even though we will remain on paper far enough ahead of because of this appeal - which is heard on Tuesday, the same day we go to Cambridge (Another City) for a rearanged one. Cambridge realistically have to win their last three to get into the playoffs. The last game, next Saturday, is at the less inspiring surroundings offered by Eastleigh - who themselves can make the playoffs IF they win their last two and we get shafted for three! Clear? Jolly good.

Best of luck, though I quite fancy a return to one of our old rivals next season (or 2 of our old rivals if you're from pre-merger days.)

We won, cos we're great. Beat Welling 2-1 and they only scored when we were down to 10 men as Boosey was having a bandage wrappped round his noggin (head)
City, the Cambridge one, are in a bit of a slump at the moment so you're still in there ISIHAC

Nothing for us to play for at the moment, can't be promoted or relegated. We beat Bradford Park Avenue 1-0 and have now near enough condemned them to releation, we have another struggling team tommorrow (Wakefield Emley) away and finish our season with a home game against Playoff positioned North Ferriby United.
The week after that we then have a friendly against FC United of Manchester at The New Bucks Head.

I have it from a reliable source that Cambridge City were absolutely, unbelievably rubbish yesterday. Lost 2-0 at home to Newport and apparently played terribly. We, on the other hand, are fabulous. Naaahaaa! I might pop along to a match on Tuesday, but rather than Cambridge v Havantaclueville I think I may be going along to Hayes. If they win, they'll be level on points with Carsh*ton...and one of those two sides will be relegated on Saturday, no matter what.

Ooh. The old ones are the best. We have recently managed to play better away from home - and tend also so follow a rather sh*te performance with a rather groovy one - so let's hope that Tuesday follows this pattern. There's also this rather scary rumour that the Sweet FA are to pass judgement upon us tomorrow, but then again, they might not!
