Actually the first half of this year was absolutely crappy for me and I was not a happy bunny, but the second half has been the best of my life. A bit like 1999 in reverse, for anyone who knew me then (not many of you, but Sutton fans might be able to guess some of the reasons!) Medibot is right... i'm his mate and the most exciting thing ever to happen to me happened this year If 2007 is HALF as amazing for me then I shall be so happy I won't be able to see properly.

i just went on silly trips and drank beer. That's been the biggest readeaming feature of my year. Missed happy Christmas, so here's to 2007 all on TT.

As we all seem to be opening up at the moment, I'll add my voice to the chorus. For me, 2006 has been kind of U-shaped. The first three months were quite normal and quite fun, with some enjoyable drinking trips following Sutton away (Cambridge and Lewes come to mind). But things started to go a bit strange when we played at Histon on 18 March. The middle six months of the year weren't very happy ones; mood swings followed by stress and depression (with 2-9 August possibly the worst seven day period of my life ). But the final three months saw a gradual recovery, so I'm now just about back to my (relatively) happy state of 12 months ago. It may sound a bit trite, but when you're going through a rough time, you appreciate your friends. I'm very grateful to those friends (including one member of this forum) who gave me support during a difficult time.

Well Happy New Year to all!! I hope I in some small way helped Ambersal, with an ear to listen when needed, and a pint when I'm flush. This last year has been a great improvement on the previous one, it had to be. Football was one of the few things I could do in that year, and it help me being with friends to get over my breakdown. I didn't know you were suffering AA, or I may have been able to help in some way, glad to hear your back to fitness. I' m really glad to see Sal back to her old bouncy self, although she's working herself to the bone. A young gent called Martello has a lot to do with that, well done mate. As for football, Us are making good progress at last and looking like we may challenge at the top rather that the bottom. I feel that at least one of the two main contributors on this forum's team my well get promoted at the end of the season, trips to those ground would be sorely missed, specially the wonderful ale at one and the company at both. As I said Happy New Year to all!!

2006 was a great year. after following hednesford for over 10 years i finally lived close enough to get to all home and away games. unfortunalely it was the season we finished bottom of the conf north and had a bunch of players that would be lucky to get a game for my sunday morning team. saying that, we still managed to stuff the strangers at marston poohole (1-1 is as good as a stuffing when we play them). luckily, i've kinda got past the age of caring too much about the scores and had a great time getting to know lots of great lads who follow hednesford every week. drinking magners at 11.30am in worksop and downing my first pint at 9.30am in redditch stick out as great days.
other than that, moving back to essex and getting a great job in cambridge that i really enjoy and has good prospects has been great. getting married and having a daughter has also been amazing. 2007 will be nuts in comparison.....
oh yeah, happy new year to everyone, even my stranger friend SOC...... :-)
