By the way, what time does the England game kick off?

Should be long enough to see poor old Emile fall over in front of goal and Owen sky the best chance since the last time he played for England Wales on the otherhand, Craig Bellamy and Freddy Eastwood v Miroslav Klose and Lukas Poldolski. Can't wait. Freddy has promised to pepper Calamity Jens with shots so we might nick something and if we don't, nobody cares. The joy of the underdog

England will never be the underdogs, even if the wealth of talent available to them is under utilised and unfulfilled it's still there. Plus, isn't it the best league in the world and aren't they all the best players despite little evidence to the contrary whilst in England shirts? I'm loving the Israeli managers taunts at the moment though

What have the best players in the league got to do with it? They're not English!

Just proves how much trouble we're in when the Welsh, and the Israelis can take the p--s!!

It's not all bad, at least Lumpalard isn't playing.

Our usual plan is lump it to Rooney and watch him well and truely mess it up. With him not playing maybe we'll try something new.

It's typically bizarre how this thread has turned. Not full circle, certainly, yet. I'd like to be comparing the genius of the England Strike Partnership to that of our Sal, but I'm afraid that might be stretching the truth somewhat! ;D I can only hope that Owen and Heskey can fit in as well as Amber does with any job which is worth her Sal(t)!

Hmm, well Sal is of course Latin for salt. The Salary isn't bad either. Anyway, I didn't find any of the 7 questions difficult at all, and I think I answered 6 of them very well, which is a good start I completely screwed one of them up though, gave a very sketchy answer and realised on the way out exactly what I should have said. If I had said it, then I would have been extremely pleased with the whole interview. 6/7 is very good, but for something this competitive that answer could have been the difference between success and failure. Never mind. I can't do anything about it now, and at least I got some good practice out of it.

Glad it all went well. I'd have been kicking myself wishing I'd had the mobile/phone number of the Interview panel to correct the 7th point, but I expect all phones were turned off anyway. A good experience though, by the sounds of things!

I do feel that way, but I know they wouldn't have accepted anything I'd said after leaving the room!
I could have phoned a friend or asked the audience, you see.

It's fairly unlikely that any other candidate will have given perfect answers to all seven questions. So grounds for cautious optimism, I'd say.
