As far as I'm concerned we were relegated after the Bognor disgrace, and yesterdays result was to be expected, TBH I'm shocked we scored. Lewes next week, fan-bloody-tastic.

We are suffering too - looks increasingly likely that we will be playing Ryman Div 1 next season. I am trying not to take it all too seriously. Only a point yesterday when we really had to get all 3 but I had a friend down from Oop North so we had a good day. Mind you he is a Leeds fan so wasn't best pleased with the text updates he was getting. Ah footy eh? Means nothing and everything.

I was extremely drunk when I posted that, and now realise that I can't really blame Eastbourne...after all, they are trying to win the league here! I also expected it, so I arrived at the ground very early and started drinking. I mean DRINKING. Far too much. I'd knocked back at least 4 pints by 2:40 and was wasted by the time I went outside for the actual game. For the record, I ought to add that I should never, under any circumstances, be allowed anywhere near a mobile phone or PC when I am that drunk as I end up saying things I shouldn't be saying to people I shouldn't be talking to I was feeling a bit strange after the game. I had been presented with two choices of night out, one of which involved walking to the pub down the road and the other was a friend's gig in Kingston, which had been cancelled but they were still going to the venue for drinks, and I said I'd go to that so I stood out in the cold for AGES waiting for a bus. After about 15 minutes I thought "sod it," and walked away. Instead of going to the pub down the road to hang out with my nice friends from Havant & Waterlooville, I ended up randomly going to the station and getting on a train to Billingshurst (that's not QUITE as random as it sounds; I have a person there). Because I was Under the Influence, I got really, really, really confused by the information boards at the stations offering me a train to "Littlehampton & Littlehampton." This train was due to divide at Horsham. The front 4 coaches were to go on to Littlehampton, whereas in stark contrast the rear 4 coaches were due to carry on in the opposite direction to ...um, Littlehampton It turned out that the difference was that the front 4 were non-stop from Horsham and the rear 4 were stopping. But try figuring that one out when yer pissed. Good thing I did really, as I needed to be in the rear half but normally try to be at the front of the train for Billingshurst. I should never be allowed to get that drunk again.

I think the 'R' thing's inevitable now, so you can only do it with good grace. That's the best you can do in the circumstances.
Lewes will obviously be tough, but I think they're just starting to come apart at the seams, so you never know. Got to travel in hope, at any rate, even to GGL. You nearly ran them close in the FA Cup, certainly. Just don't be shrinking violets. Chase the game from the off!

Try being 3-1 up with absolutely no time remianing and still drawing 3-3.
It's a good job Wusster has good pubs.

Bloody Eastbourne did that to Basingstoke early this season, Coops!
Maybe they are villains after all.

Not to mention their kiddie drummers.... ;D
If they do go up, they'll get ragged mercilessly on the Conf Forum for their pre-pubescent 'musicians'....

I should never be allowed to get that drunk again. Well if you'd listened to my hugely unsubtle hint... To be honest though, absolutely ratted was the best way to watch that game particularly with referee McLaughlin having appeared to have joined you in getting horribly drunk before the game. Although i must add that's the worst refereeing performance i've seen that actually had no chance of affecting the result anyway.
