Right. Pay attention! I am planning a little sabbatical; and will be pootling around Terrace land in search of fun, football and recreation. In practical terms so far, I am planning to hit Hucknall, for their game against Blyth Spartans on Sept 9th (Or Spartons; for those in the know ) Then to The Lamb on Tuesday 12th, to see just how far R&D have fallen in reality - and onward to Telford to see what all the fuss is about at the New Bucks Head as they play Halesowen on the 16th. What would be useful is a bit of local knowledge from Frankie, Giggy & the Tamuff contingent - in terms of nice cosy B&B accommodation - I have had a gander at the web & can find any number of places at £45 a night, but not much for less. Less is more, as they say. Should any of you want to meet up at these games, or indeed, can offer other local fixtures that might fall into the Tinpot Club category, then do let me know. PM or on here - either would do nicely!

Can't say I've ever tried booking a room for a B & B in Telford before so I'm not too sure. The stadium is connected to a hotel but by the looks of it that looks very expensive. Admission prices are usually £8 for adults (don't think they change for FA Cup). Most other Unibond teams claimed it was extortion but this season our prices froze and others went up, hednesford for example is £8 standing £9.50 seating. We balance it out though with kids for a quid making an adult and a child cheaper than a lot of Unibond club, admittedly conference south is probably more expensive anyway. Parking is expensive though at £2 if you can find somewhere to stay near the ground I'd reccomend the walk. As Halesowen is a cup match they may decide to segregate it (apparently it creates a good cup-tie atmosphere), we had 20-30 Goole fans seperate on their own for an FA trophy game, thought it was a bit odd myself. Anyway, if so then seats, David Hutchinson Stand and the East Terrace will all be the home side, Frank Nagington Stand will be the away end. Programmes are usually£2 (less if the programme is smaller than average) but is a good programme and worth the money IMO. Food is pretty good but prices put some people off. Beware the stewards, they have a habit of making themselves unpopular with visitors, they're hobbies include surrounding the away fans and telling people off for putting feet on the backs of chairs in front of them (to be fair it does damage the seats!) All parts of the ground offer a good view, I normally sit (Sir Steven Roberts Stand) as we go as a family, the noisier lot stand in the David Hutchinson Stand (when possible a lot move to the Frank Nagington when we swap ends.) The East Terrace is open, unroofed terracing with the learning centre and scoreboard behind it, you get all sorts congregate there. I'm noticable as I'm the only one with Giggy on the back of their shirt.

All Change!! To Bedford on Saturday, for the Hawks game - I mean, they are my team after all. I shall be joined by a very special guest for that one Well. Two, actually, but just the one TT legend. To Worcester for the Monday night game against Redditch, then on to Hucknall for the Tuesday night game against Gainsborough. Will be busy in and around Sheffield Wednesday and Thursday, but if there's a game to watch on the Thursday, I'll find it! Back to Telford for Friday in advance of their FA Cup fixture against Halesowen on the Saturday. So. If you see a long-haired chappie in a Hawks shirt at one of your games over the coming week - do say hello!

I will second that ISIHAC, nice to see you and hope you enjoyed our City. I bet the groan from the crowd when Redditch equalised will haunt you forever.

Believe me. The noise that ripped forth from Dazza's gob was NOT a groan. You don't spell groan with a "F" ;D I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Worcester, and will be back to say bye bye to the Lane at some point. Should add that the hospitality at Hucknall Town was awesome too. Off topic, I've spent the past day or so with an old muso chum. We now own and operate a company called New Horizons Music, formed to export copies of an album we made way way back in 1982, to prog rock fans in Japan. Oh yes! We are big in Japan - honest ;D Telford tomorrow

How would people like to meet up and see a seriously tinpot match somewhere? Obviously it can't clash with our own fixture. Please let me know.

Go for it!
Apart from pesky cup replays, we have weeknights free till Christmas.
The where might be debatable, but possibly somewhere in Beds / Herts??
(We are specifically excluding the ladies game from this, right? Definitely NOT tinpot!)

as a Nuneaton fan, I attended a random game tonight through sheer boredom. Hednesford v Ilkeston in the Unibond as it was only half an hours drive away.

In your then ignorant state re all things Tinpot, you were within hand shaking difference of one Tinpotter - DazaB (Georgie to the St Georges Lane faithful) was also there. He very kindly sends score updates from all sorts of places!
