Fellow citizens of Tinpotland!
We have at least two non-Sutton Tinpot Terracers coming to our game against Bishop's Stortford on Saturday December 2 but we would like more for a special pre-Christmas get-together. Anyone else who decides to make an appearance will be treated by me to something nice, e.g. some chips, a hug, a beverage or simply the pleasure of our company.
Anyone who makes half-arsed excuses about Eastbourne their team playing at home will not get anything at all ;D

Tamworth are playing in that FA Cup thing (don't you lot enter that competition?) on December 2nd at Ru$hden the Dire Ones. I definitely won't be going, as it is a shite ground in a part of the country devoid of beer and decent public transport links.
In place of this feast of football, I plan to be in Tamworth, lapping up two consecutive heats of the Guitar Wars competition at The Palace. The demand for my photographic skills is remarkably high, as this weeks edition of the Tamworth Herald should show.
Who are you playing on Saturday? Tamworth are at another Godforsaken poo-hole all-seated (three-sided!) ground in a crap city, so I'll not be there. Nothing else planned either - a free weekend at the mo.

Home to Braintree in the Trophy.
Thrill a minute stuff, mind you i'll be watching the egg chasing after the game and Sal'll be running off somewhere you can probably guess so it won't quite be a legendary day.
As you know we only really have the 'hood and it's Bedford brewed Youngs, the glorious Little Windsor with it's Fullers and solitary guest pump and of course the mega excitement of bombardier and guest (St Austell tribute last time i looked) at the club so not anything you've not had before but at least it is well kept. I'd mention the 'spoons too but after three pipe cleaner pints this year already i'm going off them big time.

Home to Braintree in the Trophy. That was enough to put me off, but thanks for taking the effort with the rest of your sales pitch!

Haven't you discovered the delights of the Rushden Historical Transport Society, Jase? Enjoy a pint of the real stuff in a converted railway carriage or the old ladies' waiting room! The station is long closed, but there are regular buses from Wellingborough. As for Oxford, where does one start? There's a veritable feast of great pubs in the city centre - I've (got) drunk in most of them! The Turf Tavern is one of the best - Thomas Hardy set a famous scene from Jude the Obscure here - although it can be a challenge to find! And there are loads of buses to the tri-sided stadium - not that you'd want to hang around in that part of the city for too long.

Tut. I know you've been following football in the bowels of non-league for years, and that breathing the lead-laden air of the London metropolis isn't great for keeping the old brain working, but... Rushden don't play in Rushden. RHTS is in the middle of Rushden. It's like suggesting The Sultan is a great venue for a pre-match pint before going to see a Sutton United game, except that the Sultan is likely to be open while the RHTS is only a private social club. Wellingborough would be a safer option. I've done Oxford city centre to death - it's a bit of a staging point on trips west of Legoland. The really good pubs are a long walk from the rail station and Oxford United play miles away from the city centre. The real killer in going to either of these places is the ground. Forced to sit on an ice-cold piece of plastic in a ground so devoid of atmosphere you're convinced somebody has been employed to suck out all of the oxygen. There is a reason why I watch(ed) non-league football and the likes of Oxford United, R&D and the whole feckin' Conference isn't it.

I protest! The London Borough of Sutton should be a nice bright shade of amber - with maybe some chocolate round the border. It certainly shouldn't be Carshalton-coloured!
