Yes, I'm toodling up to Wolverhampton for the CAMRA AGM - and making a long weekend of it. Sadly, I won't get to any tinpot football match because the AGM is in session all day Saturday. But I do intend to visit a large number of hostelries. So if any local tinpotters feel like meeting up for a pint or three, let me know! Drinking arangements are a litle fluid ( ;D) - but my cohorts and I will probably be in Wolverhampton on Thursday and Friday evenings. I may venture further afield on Saturday and Sunday evenings - the Crown at Oakengates (Telford) and the Station at Codsall (Holdens ) are possible destinations on Sat, while on Sun a tram ride to Bilston and West Bromwich may be in order. I'll be missing Sutton Utd v Newport County - but if the match is anything like it was in the last two seasons, I won't actually be missing much at all. ;D

Typical, you've managed to pick the one weekend I cannot get off work.

Shame.
But it wasn't me who picked the weekend - if it was, I'd have arranged the AGM outside the football season!

If you'd have posted an hour or so earlier, before I headed out, I could have sorted something as I went through Wolves and Brum on Saturday and Brum on Sunday. Then again, I was dead on my feet by the end of the week, so perhaps a wise move not to add my 7th and 8th sessions of the week.

Just got back. Suffice to say that I visited some legendary pubs, including The Vine (Bull & Bladder) at Brierley Hill, The Olde Swan (Ma Pardoe's) at Netherton and the Great Western at Wolverhampton. Also enjoyed some wonderful faggots and peas in The Olde White Rose, Bilston at 9 pm on a Sunday - now that's what I call service!

Yeah, I've been catching up on events from the Sutton and NS fora.
Having consumed about 35 pints in five days, I'm now officially entering detox. ;D

After watching another game involving Newport last night, I'd say they seem to attract shoddy officials!

He didn't think anything, because he didn't know I was even coming until I turned up next to him on the terrace about 10 minutes into the game
