AFC Telford United have signed former Worcester, Moor Green and Bedworth midfielder Jai Stanley on non-contract terms. Worcester paid a then club record £10,000 for Stanley in November 2003 however, he was released earlier this week after failing to force his way into the first team. Larry Chambers commented "Jai is an excellent signing and we are delighted to have him here. He has the potential to be a player who can stay with us as we progress through the leagues." Jai, the cousin of former Buck Craig Stanley, will attend training tonight Apparently he's been with Worcester and Moor Green so this questions goes to both Daz & Ojiveojive & Boy Blue. "How good is he? How would he fair at the not so lofty heights of the Unibond?"

Agree with boyblue - if he hits form at Telford, he will be unstoppable in the Unibond, an excellent playmaker. Completely changed the game at Gainsborough when were struggling at 1-0 down with half an hour to go. Came on and was an inspiration, a step ahead of everyone else.

Great to hear, from what you two have written and what I read on the Worcester forum he seems a quality signing. ;D

Horrible big lump of a player with no discernable skill apart from launching the ball into orbit.
Can you tell I never liked him much?

I can only echo Daza and boyblue: an excellent playmaker who reads the game well. Not afraid to get stuck in, either. We were sorry to see him go, he regularly won man of the match and player of the season. The fact that Worcester, after protracted negotiations, were prepared to pay £10,000 for him showed highly we valued him and how much we wanted to keep him. I guess coops remembers our games against Tamworth, and how well he played against them . As he's gone on non- contract I think he'll probably move on up again after he gets himself properly fit but enjoy his cultured play and his ferocious shooting ability whilst you can. Also a top banana ;D.
