Kidderminster resigned from their pre seaon friendly with Worcester City in the 72nd miinute, following what appears to have been a changing room incident. More to follow.
Webster suffered suspected broken ankle from a horrific challenge and Kiddy deservedly lead 0-2 before a premature end.

So far in pre-season, they have had Des Lyttle sent off for headbutting, and also had James Coates (broken finger) and Mark Danks (hamstring ( think) suffer injuries which will rule them out of the start of the season, but it got even worse today. Striker Adam Webster broke his ankle in the friendly with Kidderminster Harriers, before the game was abandoned in the second half when the Kiddy manager Mark Yates took his players off the pitch due to "off the pitch" activities. Apparently, the Worcester City assistant manager Andy Morrison (yes, the one who has been done for benefit fraud recently) attacked Kiddy centre half Mark Creighton after he had been substituted. Creighton, formerly of Reddicth United and Moor Green, was involved in the incident that saw Webster suffer his injury.
Both Kidderminster Harriers and Worcester City are to hold internal investigations.

My mate would be so jealous! It's his ambition to be present at an abandoned game, in all his years of watching football at all levels he has never seen one. Imagine if his first abandoned game was abandoned for something not even on the pitch!

Danks broke his fifth metatarsal and his expected to be out for another 2-3 weeks yet. Adam Websters ankle is NOT broke he has suspected ligament damage and possibly a sprained ankle. Kiddy abandoned the game because of a off the field incident which occurred after creighton (the player that injured webster) had been substituted and had entered the dressing room. It is rumoured that jock followed him into the changing room and punched room. Both clubs are being investigated about the incident today.

1998-99 Leek Town 0 (abandoned) 1 Rushden and Diamonds after 87mins due to a fire at the chemical factory across the road. I can recall at least 2 other abandoned games I have seen. One due to fog and another bacause of a waterlogged pitch at half time despite there having been NO rain during the first half so the pitch was no worse than it had been when the game kicked off. We were beating Morecambe 2-0 in that one.

An abandoned match kept my record of not missing a home game intact. In October two seasons ago my then mother-outlaw's 80th birthday celebrations clashed with a home game against Bradford Park Avenue. I was unable to miss the birthday bash and still retain my manhood, so I was resigned to seeing my record disappear. The weather was appalling. It lashed down with rain the like of which made driving treacherous and luckily for me, football impossible as I discovered when halfway to Cardiff for the aforementioned bash I got a text message to say the game had been abandoned at half time. Yipeeeee! I was able to make the replay so, record intact.
