For the heroics of H&W Isihac. Could have been so different had one of those chances immediately prior to their third had found its way into the net.
Even so, hope you enjoyed your day my owd, result excepted of course.

I enjoyed watching the game (and seeing a couple of mates on TV). H&W really did put up a good fight and I was rather impressed. That missed chance you mention Frankie... I got so excited I nearly wet myself! There goes my TV career

heh. I'm sure the ITV shots of Sal and her chap Leo broke the hearts of half the non-league world last night. I'm personally still bitter at them zooming in on Sal when i was damn near losing my voice singing "Sutton 'til i die" a yard or two to the left. 'looville Magellan got his close up though! Subbing off Matty Gray killed it for the Hawks imho

Aye, we like the new-look shaved Matty Gray. Sadly, he seemed to get a twinge - just before kick off of the second half he was being treated by our physio on the pitch. He's had a few back problems this year. Still, we didn't get mullered on the box. I will have to skim through the coverage tonight. Had a quick look to check myself out - looking pretty ropey as ever - but have yet to see Magellan's close-up. However given he was wearing his lucky Cup hat and I rubbed it, as is tradition, it would appear it has lost its talismanic power. I got a handsome snap of our hatted man having a cuddle with the Brentford Bee so expect to see that on dubSteps when I get round to finishing my piece.

Actually I was singing it too, but then it became too much and I burst into tears, which is when the little buggers decided to zoom in on me! Oh, and I did lose my voice!

Highly amusing Skif. Very similar to our own blogger, without the swearing.

Skellington is just as good. I always say "hostipal" but that one is from Blackadder. A primary school friend of mine enjoyed "bisghetti bolognaise"

Didn't realise how far off the pace i'd drifted this last few weeks. I'd got into the CFL this year and was too busy laughing at the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as they were downed by the Edmonton Eskimos and growling at the bloody BC Lions as they dumped out my Saskatchwen Roughriders from the play-offs.
Was the heart-rending moment on your Londony news only? Unfortunately i was not in the environs of Meadow Lane to top up the "Sultan's Curse' placed on them before the H&W game last season.
Had gone a bit soft on Notts after Jimmy Sirrel's demise but now they've made our Sal cry they are getting a 'Sultan Lifetime Curse' similar to the one i put on Shrewsbury Town 5 years ago. This is no laughing matter- look what happened to THEM at Blyth Spartans!

This is no laughing matter- look what happened to THEM at Blyth Spartans! Wow! Did you see the league 2 scores today? Talk about instant karma, poor Notts! (Dagenham 6 Notts County 1). Sal, you were right to put in the " " It was a bit knee-jerk to wish ill on Notts just because they'd won a game and things got a little emotional out there. After today's short-sharp-shock the curse is withdrawn and instead i'll be more positive and replace it with a "Sultan's Blessing" on all Tinpotter's teams, even Tamworth and Hednesford, provided that they are NOT playing against Stafford Rangers of course!
