Ok, my view on the two Telford v Stafford games was that each team deserved the win they got.
Boxing Day - poor first half by both sides, Stafford perhaps deservedly taking the lead. Would agree that Lee vaughan (our rightback) was lucky not to get a booking though. Can't remember incident number 2, though I clearly remember your number 5 holding back our keeper as he went to collect a ball, no free kick given but luckily resulting shot went over.
Have heard people arguing for and against penalty, from what I saw there was no malice in the challenge but it was clumsy by Craven and did catch the player, I was some distance so can't give a definite comment though. The retake was clear-cut decision and any linesman worth his salt would have given it. Keeper was closer to the 6 yard box than his goal line. Overall think the comeback we made deseved the 3 points.
New Years Day - worst I have seen us play for quite a while, seemed to be a bad day at the office for every player on the pitch. Stafford battled hard and deserved their win. Former Telford player (in fact first player to ever sign for AFCTU) scored the winner for Stafford in front of the David Hutchinson Stand and credit to him he didn't over-celebrate or try to goad the home fans. Stafford keeper made a few good saves but overall we just didn't work the keeper hard enough.
Good luck to Stafford with sorting everything out and a well done to the Stafford fans who walked to Telford to raise money.
First home defeat of the season so no reason to panic, have since battled to a hard earned draw away at a very physical Kings Lynn side. Match this saturday was postponed so this Tuesday we now have our FA Trophy game with Hayes & Yeading, which will be a nice change of scene. Means though our Setanta Shield game at home to Kettering has been put back 2 weeks.......meaning our trip to Solihull Moors will have to be rearranged. Should we get past H&Y in the Trophy we have a trip to either Kettering or a trip down to Devon to face Tiverton. either way I probably can't make an away game that day as my sister is in a pantomime that evening.

Giggy, on the subject of ex players you may be interested in what's being happening with Darren Alexander. After signing him in the summer of 2007 he played the early part of the season out of position, either as a holding midfielder or as a centre half. In early October he finally played his first game for us up front... and smashed his knee. A few weeks ago he stepped up his training and was close to a return. Playing in his first competitive game in over 12 months for his university team he broke his leg! The poor guy has had absolutely rotten luck. I hope he'll be able to return to playing. Some happy news. It turns out Darren Alexander didn't break his leg after all. It was just badly bruised and swollen. He was able to quietly resume training, last week he came on as a late substitute for us and today he played the full 90 minutes. ;D I thought he had an excellent game although he visibly tired late on (which was to be expected when playing your first full game for 15 months). I'm dead chuffed for him.

Only just heard this, excellent news. I can understand with a finger or cheek bone as to not being sure whether it's broken or bruised but how you get mixed up with something as big as a leg is anyone's guess.
I shall pass this news onto Buckschat.

He scored with an overhead kick on Saturday. Wish I'd have been there to see it.
