I hope to get along on the Friday but probably not until late-ish (as I'm collecting two aged parents from Gatwick that afternoon).

For the God know how many times, what I'd call my local beer festival falls when I cannot attend!!! Usually work commitments, but this year I'm actually out of the country. Eldest son getting spliced in Antigua!! Will I ever be able to attend???

I am off to see Porcupine Tree in London on the Friday so by my reckoning that makes me the only local tinpotter in the country on Friday who won't be there! Saw the finalised list in the Hope last night though and it should be a good one

Had to Google Porcupine Tree, interesting! Anyway, I aim to get there around 7pm Friday, it's a small enough venue for us all to find each other I am sure.

As most of us know Ambersal, I'm sure we'll find each other. We could always wear our footie shirts, just to be sure OH and I will be there between six and seven, not necessarily together. Vicar, I think you and OH will get on like a house on fire - unconventional Christians are right up his street. Medibot - sorry you can't make it, though I gather Porcupine Tree are pretty good, so I guess it's worth missing the drinkies.

I am off to see Porcupine Tree in London on the Friday so by my reckoning that makes me the only local tinpotter in the country on Friday who won't be there! While I'd recommend you get there early enough to see Engineers (superb dream pop / shoegaze band), I doubt it'll start before 7:30, so you could get some early evening lubrication in, you chuffin' light-weight! I may be off to see Masters of Reality on Friday night, so I'd be looking at some pre-gig lubrication myself (especially as the new "Pine / Cross Dover" album is a bit suspect). However, I may have a guest staying over this weekend and Bedford beer festival is bigger, better, closer and cheaper, so my plans remain up in the air. Had to Google Porcupine Tree, interesting! Stop mucking around and get on the band wagon! Even the BBC have been licking their ball-bags following the release of their latest album. ...I gather Porcupine Tree are pretty good... I'd suggest that's an understatement of monstrous proportions! ;D But yeah, beer festivals are good.

Footie shirts? Hmmmm....interesting, I might just do that as long as my OH doesn't turn up in an Arsenal top! ;D

I s'pose I could carry round a placard saying 'Tinpotter here'. ;D Oh, and can you bring our memory stick please?

Football shirts are so old school. I shall be wearing black in contrast to the Vicar's flowing robes.
