You must put on special revolting food for Sutton fans then. I once queued for 35 minutes- almost the entire second half- for a burger that tasted as if someone had shat in it. Just because I was too hungry to wait.

We're not posh in the Unibond, we play the final at the ground of the higher placed team. As Witton won 4-2 after extra time unless my other fairly reliable sources are lying/wrong it will be played at Wincham Park. If matlock had won we would have hosted them at the New Bucks Head.
A deserved victory for Telfordtoday, both goals were from the penalty spot but regardless of that we had dominated the game most of the way through and deserved the win. Both penalties converted well by Lee Moore, still looking a quality signing.
If we play like that on Saturday we can win, every player did well today, even with key defenders Richard Teesdale & Steve Pope out. They were replaced with midfielder Carl Rodgers (who looked comfortable enough in the middle of the back 3) with Indy Khela making a surprise return after a shoulder injury a few weeks ago. Rodgers was handed the captains armband in Pope's absense.
Front line also changed, Lee Moore was broguht forward from the midfield, Justin Marsden was promoted to starting XI to partner him. Chris Cornes & Steve Palmer taking Rodger's & Moore's places in midfield. Dean Craven claimed back his place as a left wingback.
We stuck with our usual 5-3-2 formation but went for a flat midfield 3 rather than before where Moore played just infront of the others. Only 4 players played where they did last game. Goalkeeper Stuart Brock (who was back to his usual solid self today), defender Jimmy Turner, right Wingback Lee Vaughan and midfielder Gary Fitzpatrick.
Very nervous about Witton who are a good team, we won 3-1 at New Bucks Head earlier in the season, 1-0 against them at Wincham Park recently, a deserved ictory but one where we had Pope & Teesdale, Teesdale scored the goal. In both games their discipline let them down with a player sent off both times for violent conduct in the first half. In the last game their sub was on 7 minutes before headbutting striker Steve Foster. Before that though we had still been the better footballing side and had even had 2 goals disallowed, 1st was a 50-50 decision but we're unsure what was wrong with the 2nd even still.
The celebrations at the end of the Witton game were immense as we were a step closer to winning the league. That never worked out but we've got another chance now, hopefully we can finish the saturday with even better celebrations. We'll have to wait and see.

To save me the bother of looking it up.... when is the final? I might pop up. If you mean Witton v Telford, the final is being played at Wincham Park (Witton Albion). It's standard Unibond practice just to give the higher placed team home advantage. Match will be segregated with a very big crowd expected. We've been given the home end because it's bigger (capacity of 3000) and we're expected to bring a large following for this one. In a way we wanted Matlock to beat Witton, would have been a home match then as Telford finished 3rd, Marine 4th, Witton 2nd & Matlock 5th. 90 minutes of football will decide what league we are in next season.. ...looking forward to it and dreading it at the same time.

Could be a tight squeeze, we have 6 coaches booked now. Think that's a record for us, we took 5 to Rossendale two seasons back, 4 or 5 to Hednesford this season & 3 or 4 to Bradford last season. Also usually a lot going by car and I've heard a fair few are taking the train aswell this time. It may be one of those cases where it might just be easier to get a big crane, pick up all of Telford and drop it down next to the match. It was how I thought we'd get to Hednesford atleast. I'm booked on one of the coaches but if it came down to it would settle for the ride below if it got me to the game. Arrive in true tinpot style. ;D
