Indeed. I'm sure Dave and "posh Malx" ( ;D ) are delighted, if also feeling a trifle dizzy!

Free bar back at the club, finally got home to the sound of the dawn chorus. We'll miss you too Sutton. The Conference/Blue Square thingy is scary but we'll give it a good old go.

Apparently this is a final score today:
Nationwide Conference North
Farsley Celtic 4-3 Hinckley United
A neutral would have definitely got his or her money's worth today but it must be painful for Hinckley. I know what it's like to score 3 and still lose (away at Gateshead) but for a playoff final it must be even worse.
Also winning goal was apparently a penalty, anyone there who can comment on it?

I think the only regular on this forum likely to have been there is DJ Hinckley. I strongly suspect that Farsley will struggle in Blue Square National - but good luck to them! (They'll be the second club with Celtic in their name to play at that level. ) I'll get up there some time next season - as I've been "collecting" all new Conference grounds for a while. And at last Halifax have a local team to play in their league!

I've just gone in from getting smashed on Summer Lightening in the Great Eastern in Brighton as a toast to Salisbury's success. As for Farsley, well done for winning, commiserations to DJ
