I watched that last night not knowing which club I wanted to lose more, the bucket rattling cheats of Execreter or the 'Too Good For This Poxy League' Poxford.
Come on Morecambe!

I wanter Exeter because to Jamie Mackie who played on loan for U's a while ago. But in the final it's got to be Morecombe. Another proper non league side going up.

After hearing that Jim Smith reportedly said "Coming here is like coming to Wembley for the non-League sides." I reflected that Oxford deserved a second shot at this league every bit as much as we do...

Sorry Bromley beat Ricay. We played Ricay 2 years ago - decent team, decent people, decent ground, and with a very large bar. Maidenhead are back where they must feel they belong! Bath City will be hopelessly big-headed, especially if they start off well. They think they ought to be in the League.... But a great day-out there! HRBFC have a tidy little ground in a nice part of the suburban smoke. A couple of Pubs within easy distance too. Probably not a bad day out! ( Should SCFC beat Braintree, then I hope Morecambe beat Exeter, so that we have another localish game, and lose the furthest distant fixture. Shame Oxford didn't prevail to get them out of NL... )

Surely Torquay won't be to bad for you Malxscfc! Hypothetically, IF we win on Sunday, we'd all love Torquay, as you say! We could hold Fawlty Towers classes beforehand, so we could all brush up on our catchphrases, Watt!

I'd like Morecambe to do it, if only to see a local derby in the Conference next season between two ex-League sides, Exeter and Torquay. ;D
If Salisbury go up, no doubt Weymouth would succeed Eastleigh as thier wannabe local rivals.

I think Weymouth would consider themselves far too big a club to have us as rivals! Unlike Eastleigh who had no history and so invented rivalry by changing the team names of all the Saints/Pompey hatred songs to fit us and them. Fact is until, 4 years ago we'd only ever played Eastleigh once (an FA Cup tie in the 70's) and they weren't even called Eastleigh then, they were still Swaythling Athletic. Actually the fans of a certain age get on well, Ian (Loud N Proud) drank with us and stood with us at our play off semi last week, but our chavs and theirs call themselves firms and talk of arranging meets and running them back to the station!

On a similar note, wait til the Bath fans introduce themselves to everyone. Even when they weren't doing much in the Southern Premier they (I generalise of course) thought that they had a divine right to be in at least the Conference, if not the Football league, and still talked of Yeovil as being rivals!

I only know one Bath fan, and he's not like that at all! I say "know" -I've never actually met him, it's one of those online things, but hopefully I shall finally get to meet him this year, like you Coops
