Ok folks - help a poor young chap out here! (That's me, by the way!) We are away at Cambridge City tonight - and need at the very least of all leasts to come away with a point, but three would be better. 2 games to go - well one and a half now, and we discovered this lunchtime that the Sweet FA actually agreed (Or rather failed to see sense) regarding this little spat we had with the Conference - so we are suddenly three points light. They did overturn the financial penalty, for some reason - but decided to make life interesting for Nosh*t and Eastleigh by taking three points away from us. Come on! I need distracting so I can stop pacing up and down the fackin' lounge waiting for text messages

Right. No goals. That means Histon can top us if they win both their remaining games - both easy on paper. I tell you - if this season ends up with us in 6th because of a technicality, someone will need to be around to pick up the bits!

Ouch, ah well, at least you're not relying on your local rivals for your league safety, like Carshiton and Hayes are

True. What would you have happen? A Sutton defeat to Ha! Yes, sending Carsh*ton away into exile - or stability and the guarantee of a couple of seriously local games over Christmas next season?? What's it to be then! For our part, we now rely upon Histon at best drawing tomorrow night - so that we can at least control our own destiny on the final day! I can guarantee you that I shall be a gibbering wreck from lunchtime onwards on Saturday - and regardless of the result, in no pain at all by 6pm.

lol, i'll give phone up about six then Personally i'd find it hilarious if Carsh*ton went down but i'd also like Sutton to win at Hayes so i will let nature take its merry course and enjoy the win or the relegation of the scummers

Ok folks - help a poor young chap out here! (That's me, by the way!) When I called you "young" you accused me of being pished! Last night was amusing. I had my Nationwide South Inter-Club Communication Network on the case and had promised to furnish ISIHAC with updates every time a goal was scored. It seemed, however, that my network had broken down. I wasn't hearing a squeak from the direction of Milton Road. In the end, I approached them from both sides (i.e. I sent a text to a Havant and Waterlooville fan and a text to a Cambridge fan, both of whom were there) asking WHAT'S THE FRICKIN' SCORE THEN?! IT was 0-0, which explains a lot! Fancy pacing up and down waiting to be texted the goals in a 0-0 draw. SUCKER!

I want Sutton to win on Saturday, and i would find it hilarious if c*rshalton lost, meaning relegation for the smelly ones.

Also meaning smaller gates and more travelling for us on Boxing Day. I'd prefer the financial advantage, I think.

How many fans do c*rshalton normally bring? AFC Wimbledon (if they were promoted) would be bring much higher gate revenue for Sutton, than c*rshalton could ever hope to.

The answer to your question is, especially on Boxing Day, "more than Thurrock"

The thing with the whole Carsh*ton going down thing is looking at the Ryman Premier, if they go, it'll be a while before they get back, a lot of cash being splashed and whatnot so it'd be more than just a seasons derby day revenue we'd lose. Still, we'll never get the boxing day fixture at GGL unless the league change it as far as i can gather.
I'm sticking to my try to beat Hayes and see what happens logic. If they go down, they go down and i will laugh. If they don't, i'll just add it to the list of times where they have made last day escapes.

The reason our Boxing Day derbies have not usually been at "GGL" (which, for the benefit of those who are not Medibot -do try to keep up, boy- is Gander Green Lane, Sutton's ground) is not because they are not and that we have to get the league to do anything about it. It's simple coincidence. We've just been unlucky when the home and away fixtures are randomly given.

Not what i heard, they'll always get the boxing day one in the connie south unless we ask 'em to have it at our place and of course they will tell us to feck off...

Does it really matter - I mean. The two grounds are barely a gnat's fart apart really - ain't they?

I don't know where you're getting your information from then! The reason we would ask to have it at our ground is because the last few have been at theirs owing to luck and now it is arguably our turn. It would be fair to do that (unless of course luck is on our side this time), but Carsh*ton would have to agree to it before a request were put in.
