As you lot seem to enjoy obscure and ultimately pointless games I thought I'd offer up an idea for a new, short term one, based on my impending TT tour of New Mexico, Texas and possibly bordering states.
This would need to involve the help of a TT regular (ok, Amber or ISIHAC or Botty as they're the only ones whose mobile number (I think) I've got).
What I would do is text a cryptic / best of I could think of at the time and I actually remembered clue across so it could be posted on here and you try to guess where I am.
When I get back I'd award points, on a seemingly random basis, that I may or may not bother to explain, and declare a winner.
The winner would get absolutely sod all apart from the satisfaction of knowing they're more obscure than anyone else on TT (apart from me obviously).
Thoughts / Texts? (other than I shouldn't post late at night when I've been down the pub and haven't slept properly for nearly a fortnight).

No prize. No clear structure. No point. Sounds utterly Tinpot.

Ok, based on the liking of tinpot and random I'll send random clues to random mobile numbers that I may, or may not have.
A random, on the hoof, points scoring system would probably work something along the lines of...
Correct country: 1pt Correct state: 2pts Correct county: 5 pts Correct area: 10 pts Correct town/city: 50 pts Correct location in town/city: 100 pts GPS coordinates of MY actual location: 100 pts Being able to tell me where I am when I'm completely lost :1000 pts Being able to tell me where I am and directions to my motel when I'm completely lost :2000 pts Being able to tell me where I am and directions to my motel when I'm completely lost and drunk: 3000 pts Giving me directions through an area where I get shot/mugged or similar: -1000000 pts Getting me emergency medical treatment after the previous: I'll have the hump with you but you'll be slightly redeemed (you shouldn't have given me such crap directions in the first place). Death due to accident/my own stupidity/ or the stupidity of others: I guess that's sort of the end of the competition and not returning in any fit state to award points it'll be a draw.

That was what I thought actually. I didn't want to say it straight away as I had a headstart having received the text. It has to be Santa something anyway

There was a text the other day, saying "Show me the way..." and I'm not 100% sure it's a clue, but have it anyway Today's is: "Where the wind comes rushing down the plain"

There was a text the other day, saying "Show me the way..." and I'm not 100% sure it's a clue, but have it anyway That one is certainly 'Amarillo', just short of the OK border. I toyed with looking for a place called "Togohome", but didn't think its existence to be probable...

Mark has been very busy and sadly I have too, so we have a bit of a backlog.
1) "Now in abi's half a shed"
2) "Debbie did it"
3) "a mad place"
4) "Morris's twin"
5) "We have a problem"
