Personally i found it hilarious. I'd rather stay anywhere for £20 a night than pay for the room to be decorated properly.

No chance. Already unwittingly been blamed for cocking up minor travel arrangements on Salisbury Tinpot Tours to Malta and Ireland in recent years.... To Hannah - YES, I shall have a shot. My nice new phone used to upload photos in a jiffy, but the software seems to have gone wrong, so you may need to be patient. Not that there are many to upload. OASN, read this evening that our player Tim Bond was born in Carshalton. In hindsight I'm not sure I should mention that on here , but at least you might appreciate that snippet of info. He's a quality bloke, certainly!

hmm, he was probably actually born in Sutton. As the many Sutton fans with Carsh*ton on their passports are at pains to point out, the maternity ward of St Helier Hospital is in Sutton, even if the actual Hospital address states Carsh*ton. Made all the more interesting by the fact Carsh*ton is IN Sutton anyway

I picked an unfortunate time to be born. A few years in late 80s, early 90s. There used to be a maternity ward at Wrekin hopsital, Wellington. This has gone as far as I know. There's a maternity ward at the Princess Royal Hospital, Telford (did work experience there over Easter, t'was cool). Wasn't built at the time though. Stuck in the gap in between means I had to be born in Shr*wsbury, I'm stuck with it on my passport for life. i wish I could atleast balance it out but they don't ask for where you currently live or for your football team...they should ask the latter though!

Made all the more interesting by the fact Carsh*ton is IN Sutton anyway I think you will find the Carshalton-Sutton boundary skirts round the back of all St Helier including the 'new' maternity block. Having said that, with the state of the place I rather wish it did have a Sutton address. Wasn't it one of the few places to fail most of its hygiene tests? Hospitals are quite depressing places at the best of times. But it was the place of my birth so I do have some strange affinity with it.

WE had the double room- I was told it was a twin, and it had a single and a double! All right, all right - I take full responsibility for booking us into such tinpot (yet very cheap) accommodation. I'm surprised that nobody's mentioned the ghastly early seventies decor. Would somebody else care to ring round the local guest houses next year? ;D One or two well worn phrases about pleasing people and wanting things done & doin' 'em yerself spring to mind! ISIHAC is the most experienced booker of beds on the Terrace - yet he too has suffered at the hands of those with less determination and pargaining power. Mr Meds has the ability to alter travel arrangements at the drop of a hat; Amber strongly believes in the power of Pick 'n Mix - but HATES sharing! Only MIB is capable of sleeping in Cinzano mode! And travels the lightest. Glasgow shower anyone?? Yea, they be a motley crew, but no worthwhile gathering would be worthwhile without them.

I have no problem with the accommodation, considering the price! Just felt it my duty to point out how tinpot it was.
Horrors! Caught on camera talking to a random Peterborough United fan, what next? And am I really that small?

Sal, sadly, when having your picture taken by somebody a good six foot plus up in the air, you are always going to look small

And am I really that small? Stop getting paranoid. They're just exceptionally large flippers! ;D Glad the photos came out, and full marks to Nick for a) thinking about photos and b) bothering to take the things. (My limit at multi-tasking involves holding beer + drinking it.)Will try to be a bit better organised next time - we could have had a few in the Green Man too, where we weren't quite so squashed in. P.S. Have heard on the Grapevine that there were musical bands at the Festival. Anyone get to see one?
