By the way, the game has been played and I am still Chichester City United. I would like to claim the Extra Preliminary Round Tinpoticity Prize as the game was abandoned due to floodlight failure and has only just been replayed. And they will play the next round on a Sunday due to ground-share ;D

Well, Pilkington Triple X's FA Cup dreams are over for another year, as they lost 3-0 at Kidsgrove Athletic, who my baton now passes to.
Kidsgrove play in the Unibond League 1st Division South, where they're sitting just below half way at the moment. They play at the Stan Brown Stadium, though a read of their club history doesn't reveal who Stan might be!
They are away to Eastwood Town of the Unibond Premier in the 1st Qualifying Round, so once again I'm following the underdogs it seems.

Colliers Wood mined their way into the first qualifying round with a 3-0 win at East Grinstead.

Coleshill Town 2 Shifnal Town 3
So the Midland Alliance team of whom i had no knowledge and even less interest managed another away win and another 3 goals. Shifnal took the lead in the first minute, were quickly pegged back by a home penalty but then established a comfortable 3-1 advantage before having a man sent off when (quote from shifnaltown.com) "Johnson was shown a red card for a moment of silliness with Matty Robinson, who was extremely fortunate to get away with a yellow card." The mind boggles.
So, i won't be contributing to Coleshill Town's one-man forum this year. Maybe i'll choose them from the off next time but then again....
The reward for Shifnal is a home tie with Long Eaton United of the NECL who put out Rushall Olympic by 1-0.

I've been busy but I believe my Wimborne team that put Dawlish out are through to the next round.
Yep, just looked it up, they beat Odd Down 2-0 and will be at home to SLP Tiverton Town in the 1st qualifying round.
When I get time (probably on Saturday when I'm at work) I'll do a full round up of where we all stand so far.

Kingsbury London Tigers are out of the cup even before I could publish my bit on their Extra Preliminary Round game (that'll be coming next Monday on me Dub Steps site).
As expected, Concord Rangers, especially at home, were too strong for them in the Prelim. KLT lost 2-0, and thus Concord go on to face Hitchin Town away.
I quite fancy Concord for an upset, possibly via a replay.

Well, Shitebrook Town went out on Saturday, 3-1 at home to Studley. Studley now face a tricky away fixture at Coalville Town (thats 2nd v 5th in the Midland Football Alliance). Attendance on Saturday was 93.

I didn't want to be Cray Wanderers Oh well. Let's see who they've got next. Ah yes, Sutton United. Anyone heard of them? I don't know much about them ;D ;D ;D

The mighty Chicks were seconds away from another away FA cup win until a 90th minute equaliser by Chatham Town's Avery forced a replay

I don't know much about them ;D ;D ;D As Sal was otherwise engaged on Sunday, I went to her game for her. ;D This allowed me to size up Sutton's 1QR opponents. Predictably, Cray won with something to spare. One unexpected bonus was that the FA Cup itself was on display for all to see. (Not very tin pot, I'm afraid. ) I declined the invitation to have my photograph taken with the silverware for £3.

Norton United 1-3 Leek Town ;D
We went 1-0 down after 37 minutes but the game changed a minute from half time when Norton had a player sent off for handball in the penalty area. Despite conspiring to miss the resulting penalty and going in 1-0 behind we were level in the 2nd minute of the second half and dominated the remainder of the game. We took the lead midway through the half and added a third a minute from time with another penalty.
We are now away to Clitheroe of the Unibond 1st Division North in the next round. The two teams met in the 1st Qualifying round 13 years ago when it took 4 games to separate the two sides, Leek eventually winning the third replay 1-0.
