Bromyard 1-5 Barwell 30th August BARWELL eased to a comfortable win over Bromyard Town in their FA Cup Preliminary Round clash on Saturday (30th). After scoring a goal midway through the first half, thanks to Reece Lester, the Canaries were at their most lethal after the break. Kev Charley scored twice in the 47th and 79th minutes and Jouel Potter scored two more in the 52nd and 65th minutes to make sure there were no slip-ups and Barwell enter the draw for the next round of the competition.
ARSE
Barwell it is then!

Curzon Ashton 4[glow=green,5,300]Runcorn Linnets 0[/glow]Runcorn Linnets first ever entry to the FA Cup ended with a bang at Curzon Ashton; losing 4-0 to their Unibond league opponents in front of a crowd of 139. Runcorn were awarded a penalty when 1-0 down, however Linnets striker Dave Thompson hit the post with his shot and Runcorn never recovered. Conceeding another goal before half time and then 2 more in the second half. This week I have found 2 match reports. From Runcorn: www.runcornandwidnesweeklynews.co.uk/runcorn-widnes-sport/runcorn-linnets/2008/09/04/linnets-crash-out-of-inaugural-cup-campaign-55368-21667921/From Curzon Ashton: www.curzon-ashton.co.uk/So for next round i will be represented by Curzon Ashton. They play at the Tameside Stadium in the Unibond League Division 1 North. Last season their match with FC United of Manchester was hit by a boycott by FC Utd fans after the kickoff was moved so that the match could be covered lvie on Unibond TV. As such what was expected to be a bumper attendance was in fact just 297. The Blues enter their next game as underdogs against Unibond Premier Division side Leigh Genesis. Leigh Genesis; formerly known as Leigh RMI before this season.

It's another change of club for me. Armthorpe Welfare went out to Crook Town after a replay. 40 spectators saw the sides draw 1-1 at the Welfare Ground with Dale Sheridan scoring first for the visitors after 10 minutes. Liam Muirhead got Wellie's reply on 29 minutes. Wednesday's replay attracted a crowd of 146 to the Millfield Ground. They saw the home side win 3-0 with goals from Matthew Coad (9'), Darren Kokes (54') and Dan Olusoga (73'). Match reports can be found at www.crooktownafc.co.uk/Match%20Reports.htm and Sheridan's well struck goal can be watched at www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4moE4m8WoUMy newly adopted team, who play in the Northern League Division Two, travel to College Grove in the next round where they will face Wakefield of the Northern Premier League Division One North. Wakefield beat Stokesley Sports Club, who play in the same division as Crook Town, in the last round.

just found out that Barwell travel to Belper Town in the next round.
Fond memories of Belper - having been there for a Cup game with Worcester in the days of Phil Stant - and when we were on Football Focus

Colliers Wood (the place where I live now) are away in the next round to Horsham (the place where I was born). Spooky! Only Colliers Wood Utd don't actually play in Colliers Wood, and Horsham FC are ground-sharing with Worthing this season. Horsham will be favourites to win this one.

Yeah, Colliers Wood play near Roehampton. Definitely agree that Horsham are the favourites. My team, Croydon, got knocked out by VCD Athletic, who I think were chosen by someone else. Unfortunately the search facility won't allow initials, and I can't be bothered to read through the whole thread. Assume I'm out though.

Brodsworth beat Aston in the extra-preliminary round but went out after a replay in the preliminary round, I'll do a full round-up later today.

Ooops, sorry Dave, that low down italian wine seems to have addled my brain. You are, of course, correct. It does, however mean that I'll be following Woodley Sports - a team that, if my memory serves me right, proved to be a bit of a bogey for The Moors in this competition over the years. I feel like a turncoat!
