Oh yeah, I just replied along similar lines to a post of yours on another thread! I asked him politely about the revolving door at our meet the manager evening last week, but he equally politely evaded the question by answering it in a way that didn't really answer it... Maybe you'll get us in some cup game and then we can abuse each other properly ;D

Well at least this thing extended my interest in the FA Cup last season, right up to the semis, when it would otherwise have began at Marston Road in November, laid dormant during December and then finally disappeared amongst the balloons at Bramhall Lane. This time i'm staying local. There are two Small-Town-in-Cannock teams close to where i live so i've plumped for by far the better one, Heath Hayes The Newlands side have a home time against Shifnal Town. Coops - Dawlish Town Ambersalamander - Chichester City United Croc - Bromyard Town Giggy - Runcorn Linnets Ojive - Brodsworth Miners Welfare Loudefc - Hamworthy United Votp - Shitebrook Town ISIHAC - Wellingborough Town Peekay - Parkgate Davetscfc - Pilkington Sex J Esaj - Atherton Labia Rovers LeedsWCFC - Yorkshire Amateur DazaB - Wantage Town Amberaleman - Colliers Wood United Namesareforidiots - Abbey Hey Sultan of Cannock - Heath Hayes. Any more for any more? Roll up, roll up!

Just found link to this forum on the Blue Square South Unnoficial forum. A bit too much abuse on there for my liking so thought I might join the friendly banter on here. Re: That FA Cup Game thingy, I should bo for Epsom and Ewell (I live 500 yards from their original groung, now sadly a posh cul-de-sac of detached houses - they currently ground share with Banstead Athletic), however I am not. Purely on the basis thay this club almost went out of existance during the summer, I am going for Dorking. They have suffered 2 sucessive relegations and their local council wanted to kick them out of their home to build a superstore. Fortunately, it went to court and the underdog won. Come on the chicks!

Welcome Ewelldon (AFC Wimbledon?).
Dorking it is. If you don't know the rules to this, well they're simple, you follow your team until it gets beaten, then you follow the winners of that tie. If two Tinpotters' teams meet, the winner carries on, the loser is out.
Other than that, just post some trivia for extra Tinpot points, which are totally worthless.

Welcome aboard - if memory serves, one or two Wombles paid us a visit when the forum first cranked up, feel free to spread the word if you find us fun to "play" with. You'll find no abuse here - and I am not using the Con Sarff forum for the same reason I'm afraid! I admire your sentimental reasons for picking Dorking - but do be prepared to change allegiance...

I've got a bit of a soft spot for Dorking myself, as it's my dad's home town. (My mum's from Sutton. ) I remember them getting to the first round of the Cup about 15 years ago, and losing 3-2 h to Plymouth Argyle in a real cracker of a match.

I like Dorking. I've always thought of it as picturesque, and remember a couple of years back driving through it after not going for quite some time, catching sight of the new, enormous, metallic representation of the town's emblem (a cockerel) and inadvertantly blurting out, "Bloody hell! That's the biggest c*ck I've ever seen!" Welcome to our lovely forum, Don. If you've left the CS forum because it's too silly and rude, then you'll love Tinpot Terrace You are a Womble, aren't you? If so, will you be joining us on July 30? By the way, people, the forum has gone a bit screwy on my PC and often refuses to tell me when there is a "next page" on a thread. Thus, as on this page, when I appear to be posting something apropos of absolutely nothing, please consider the possibility that I am replying to the last post on the page before last ;D In this case, I was replying to Mr. Loud. On the other hand, as those who know me well may testify, I may simply be posting something apropos of absolutely nothing.

Bloody hell! That's the biggest c*ck I've ever seen!" It should have been a dork in Dorking if the 2nd and 4th definitions here are anything to go by.

Ambersalamander. you are correct, I have been a Dons fan for 37(ish) years and witnessed the meteoric rise and subsequent implosion. Remembering the Isthmian heydays of the early 70's with great fondness, I'm happy to be back in the non-league world and back standing on a terrace. It's what football is all about. And I'm certainly looking forward to my visit to Gander Green Lane on 30th

So is dorking better or worse than kettering?
Ewelldon, as a fan for that long, do you consider AFC to be a new club or a continuation of the old Wimbledon? I think I know your answer mind.

So is dorking better or worse than kettering? Surely the question should be: Is it better to Dork than to Ketter?? ;D Where's Bonehead when you need him, eh?!

Dorking is worse than kettering but better than woking. Woking is a sure sign of impending dementia. By the way, did you know that Dorking is an anagram of "go drink"? There are three railway stations in Dorking, and their names may be rearranged as follows: Dorking: Go drink Dorking (Deepdene): Go drink (deep need) Dorking West: We got drinks Martello knows all about dorking

Coops, in all honesty, both. AFCW is the continuation of WFC in the respect that it is my local team from the borough I was born and lived in. WFC lost it's identity as a community team when it was moved from its spiritual home, rebranded as a new club to entice North London exiles living in MK to claim the club as theirs. Wimbledon is the club I follow home and away whether its to Manchester or Maidenhead. AFC or just FC - it doesn't matter!

This is a nice friendly board compared to the connie sarf one. I'm known as Mitcham Belle on there and the Don's guestbook but I'm using the name I use for other messageboards. Anyway, the FA Cup - I'll go for my nearest team, Croydon.
